I wonder is TBA is available for a good old fashioned boot smoking?

Why is Froch waiting so long between fights considering he has not fought anybody of any significance and is getting on a bit.

Last I heard they were trying to sort out a vacant title shot against Jean Pascal, but it's all gone abit quiet of late (possibly due to it being holiday season)

Ta, Pascal's going to get his own beating and Denis Inkins X2. JP is in a whole world of trouble

Pascal is flashy and has skills but given Froch's power, and the way that Pascal did a chicken dance after getting hit by Omar Pittman, he seems to be up against it.

I've read that Pascals defence isn't the greatest either, if you couple that with Pascals iffy chin and Froch's power there looks to be only one outcome. If only it were that simple

I saw Pascal early on his career and he looked a very smooth accurate methodical boxer, but it was early in his career and the opponent wasn't upto much

Pascal has improved since then, but he still takes too much time off. He's a Eubank without the brilliant skills or chin.

Pascal is fast and flashy and looks the part albeit with glaring holes in his defence. If Froch does a number on him he could well put himself on the map before drawing his pension.

Will he fight again this year?

What the hell is happening with Witter

Left Hook,
There is a common denominator with both.
The Promotor.
No TV deal, a boxer who is not marketable, and another who through stupid comments and releases has left himself in the who wants him / who needs him camp.
Witter I belive is a spent force now, and that grieves me.
Froch should switch promotors - swiftly.

Froch has to have title fight this year or really does risk missing his chance while at his peak.

However, lest we forget Jamie Moore, Junior Witter and Ricky Hatton all waited longer than hoped for their respective opportunities despite working for different promoters at different times.

I thought Hennessey had signed with ITV?

If Hennessey has signed a deal with ITV then I stand corrected.
However, I haven't seen anything to confirm this, and knowing the Company concerned, and their PR machine, I'm sure we'd have heard about it.
Can anyone confirm ?
If that is the case, what is the barrier to getting Froch his shot in the uk ?
Money talks.

26, you may be correct, I just thought I'd read that somewhere earlier in the summer.

If I were Froch, I'd be trying to sign with Golden Boy. GB has stated he hopes to promote in the UK, perhaps alongside Hatton.

Then maybe not. Loyalty is a worthy trait.

I think training camp starts next week in earnest.

Hopefully will be a nice show with some good undercards on too.

The last show in March with Froch v Inkin, Witter v Bradley and also the mouthwatering Murray v Fewkes would have been a stormer if it wasn't for ze Russian pulling a sickie and it threw it all out the window.

Hopefully Mick will make this a tidy show and good value for the ticket money.

Be nice if it's on terrestrial tv as well. It's been a long long time since two unbeaten fighters collided for a WBC title on regular television.

My only fear is if Pascal's bowel explodes. He already ducked Zuniga due to a 'shoulder' problem.

Fewkes is busy with Gethin and Murray has a defence in December, I think.

According to Frankly speaking ITV4 for Hennessy

Froch's career has gone at a snails pace. He hasn't even fought a world class opponant at the age of 31. If anyone in boxing needs to get a move on it's him. His on screen confidence has drawn in a few posters on here in my opinion. He could have got his arse in gear and left Hennessy a long time ago if he really wanted the big fights, but he's happy to stick with Hennessy and top the bill at the Nottingham arena. Winning a world title isn't necessarily the answer either. Look at Witter and what he did after picking up the WBC title.

Froch is gonna be just another decent British fighter who may or may not pick up an alphabet title and defend it in Britain. What British boxing needs is more guy's who will take the step into elite class and stay there. That's where we always drop off. Froch isn't ever going to do that.
