Hello

I was just wondering if anyone here can tell me about PJ Maxwell. I remember hearing of him a few years back and it turns out he is mates with a friend of mine. I just wanna know if somebody here can tell me anything other than what is on his record. i.e. how good is he, is he gonna be?does he have the ability to be a domestic titlist??

Any info would be much appreciated

Jesus, where do I start !
In fact, no, the past is the past.
He's signed with Hayemaker mate, and I believe he's slated for 20-09-08 in Sheffield.
Go along, and form your own opinion - that's always best.

anybody know how he held up in those sparring sessions???

Maxwell always had talent, but seemed to talk more than actually produce the goods,
inactivity and poor management never helped his case, but hopefully it aint to late.

I saw him spar a few years ago...looked very aggressive and strong. Good enough, but not clever enough (it seemed, though I could be wrong) to succeed among the highest echelons, but then again, how many are?

Unlikely dont you think that an Irishman would celebrate the 26 counties over the 32 dont you reckon?

Saw his frist fight with Ajetovic - he's got an aggressive style. Likes to work the body - decent had movement and power but seems to have stamina issues. That probably comes from the fact that he's so inactive - poorly managed. Hopefully we'll see him fight more regularly now he's signed with a new and eager promoter in Hayemaker. But he definitely lost his status as an enigma(no-one knew how good he really was/could be due to his lack of ring activity) after getting stopped by Geard Ajetovic in the rematch.

I'm not Ryan Rhodes.
There are numerous posters who have met me, and trust me there are some subtle differences, for example, hair (albeit grey) I'm overweight , I'm over 50.
Ironically my ancestors are from Ireland.

Patrick Maxwell is a very interesting character. Talented, exciting but somewhat...erratic. Has been through more trainers than an ultra runner. Underachiever.

Black Panther,
You haven't seen the best of Maxwell.
He had a good run in 2003 with four decent showings.
He's way too heavy for me at the moment.
He should be down at Middle / Light Middle.
At his best very powerful, at his worst a pain in the arse !!!
He must hold the record for the most Managers and Promotors in a single career.
Tells you everything I suppose.
In the past always ready to call out the best domestically, but often AWOL when the response to the call out came.
I've often described him as an enigma.
I would have to say he's in the last chance hotel.
You never know - he always has a puncher's chance.
I'll be taking a close look on the 20th to see if he's gonna give himself that chance.

Hopefully he can get some regular fights and maybe this will bring the best out of him :TU: But the hand injury isn't gonna help!
