I feel for you mate, keegan is a grade A manager - but he seems a bit highly strung and goes off at the drop of a hat.

unfortunately for all EPL teams, now that berbatov has gone to MANU they'll prob win everything going.

The fella at Bristol City would be good. Newcastle need to get back to their roots, invest in youth and recruit British players in the style of Everton and Villa, this pre-occupation with headline signings is mental.

Villa are a lesson in running the club sensibly while pursuing that 4th spot. O'Neil will build a CL team there if given time and support.

I seem to remember Keegan in his first spell at Newcastle DISBANDING the youth squad,he preferred then to go for the big signings,seems the money isn't there now.

The Writing was on the Wall from Day one. Keegan was hired to make the fat twat chairman look good.

Keegan had a meltdown at Newcastle before, blew his top and walked out on the England job, and clearly cannot handle the big time pressure and is far too emotional.

If they had any confidence in him, they wouldn't have made someone as inexperienced as Dennis Wise Director of Football.

To be fair, with regards to the england job, he walked when he realised he wasnt good enough. Rather that than keep trying when you know you aint good enough a-la Mclaren.

a-la anybody. It doesnt matter who is in charge, the players (team) are simply not as good as the other top teams.

Newcastle are just a circus act. Only Newcastle could finally get stability and finish 4th, 3rd and 5th in consecutive seasons, playing champions league football and then sack their manager (Bobby Robson) after a poor start to the next season (after only 2/3 games). Joke of a club.

Their sacking of Robson and then Big Sam was a disgrace - they were still in touching distance of Europe when Sam went - and speculation was rife he was on his way a couple of weeks before.

I do wonder though, if kevin is worried about his god like status more than the transfer situation - worried that if they finish mid table - then the fans will start booing him.

Sam went cos he was never Ashelsy choice. Ashley brought in keegan to make himself popular, now he'll live with the repercussions of sacking him.

I thyink its the transfer situation Stu. 4 of the 5 players brought in have been brought in by Jiminez. The other (gutherie) was a free transfer. The club sold milner form under his nose and allegedly tried to sell Barton (to b'burn) and Owen last minute.

That's a good shout. Plied his trade lower league, taken BC them to the brink of the Premier, but would he want the hassle? Probably, for the cash.

Perhaps a West Ham might be more suitable, but isn't Strachan going there?

Keegan is paid £4m a year I believe, thats on a par with wenger, benitez and even fergie. Becasue fo the moey we should be looking at a top manager, but then who'd want it?

God knows, not with Ashley in charge and no cash to spend. Even with a forward line that includes Martins, Viduka and Owen they look mid-table at best this season.
