Oh I didn't realise the entire 'You can't criticise non-white people otherwise you are a racist' thought control now extended to criticising individuals as well.....

Whilst it may be considered a little tasteless to laugh at a 14 boy getting Ko'd I think the reaction is more to do with distaste against the ridiculous oversell of Khan as Britain's best young boxer.....

And the thread is also interesting in that it seems that the Khans possess a 'weak chin' gene.

Haroon is 17

he is a spit double of amir in the ring.

i've seen bits of footage on youtube.

he's 17 now.

so the next few years will be crucial for him in terms of getting in the GB squad.

I don't mind Khan,its his Father i resent,he likes to get his face on tv a bit much for my liking.

Anyone who laughs at a 14yo getting knocked out is a fornicating imbecile and a pathetic excuse for a human being, especially because its an amateur boxer who officially is not getting paid and is doing it for the love of the game.
I'm sure theirs people who will shoot me down and say I'm overreacting but that's the way I feel about it.

Well apparently he is actually 17, which puts a slightly different spin on things. He is the same age as when AMir went to the Olympics.

I thought that too, couldn't stand him, but I seen him once away from the cameras talking to loads of fans, for some time - I have to say I have thought more of him since then. And in fairness he is the one making the most honest statements about the Prescott fight.

With regard to the younger brother, feel sorry for him as he is always going to be under a far bigger spotlight than his peers.

It was Amir, not Haroon. I dont think Haroon even has a driving license.

I felt a bit shortchanged at Khan being a PPV buy at this stage, not happy with that, also that his off-screen arrogance and especially manner of driving is replaced by a facade on TV when he tries to come across as humble.
Don't like Khan, don't like seeing his dad on tv either, what's that about???

So when someone writes that his little brother got beat after waving his 'Amir Khan' flag around, I don't think the guy is automatically racist. Ridiculous comment to come out with that. That is the problem with Britain at the moment, people can't say what they think without the liberals jumping all over them with little consideration of the wider circumstances, taking one small comment out of context - in this instance with no mention of his ethnicity!! If this was about Hatton after getting KO'd off Mayweather and Matthew Hatton also losing, would he be accused of racism??? That is aside from the aspect of criticising a 14 year old, which is harsh, but isn't the case in this post, that's something that has been mistakenly assumed after the post. Yeah the driving thing is a bit near to the knuckle, but that is Khan himself's doing rather than anyone else's IMO.

If you box publicly then really you are open to criticism. If you go into the ring waving your brother's flag around then you probably deserve a lot more, so tough.

If there are other factors at work that the poster has made racist comments before, then excuse me, I'm not aware of that but as I said didn't read racism in this.

Exactley. Khan may come accross arrogant at times. But he's very humble when compared to other boxers. Most of the "Outrages" things he has said have been from Post-Fight interviews when he is obviously still in an Adrenaline Rush.

As for his brother, i really don't see the point in starting on him. Had Khan not lost, nobody would have said anything about Haroon.

Amir's not purposely arrogant, he's just thick and he thinks it makes him look like Mayweather.
