Watching it again close up, and trying to look on the errrr..bright side, Khan took some absolutely pulverizing shots.
Sure the jab knocked him back, but the left hook to the temple was a peach, and if he'd known enough to grab hold there, and spoil his way for awhile, he might have survived for a comeback.
Instead he tries to punch his way out, and gets caught ( while still dazed ) by the type of punch that'd put Nate Campbell over.
Gets up, and tries the same thing again - and watching the slow mo, his head actualy changes shape with the impact of Prescott's finishing bomb. The Colombian can really punch.
How Khan gets up again from that is unreal. His chin is poor, but he recovers quick.
He's no doubt learned his lesson, and next time when that chin lets him down, he might hold on and see out the crisis.
Should be a fun career to watch.

My favorite fighter used to be Errol Christe, as it happpens

He's got heart but I don't think he recovers quick at all. With a poor chin and recovery skills you're in trouble, combined with a suspect defence and well...........

Wow just like the other night , legs just gave out.
Now did anyone eles hear either nelson or mcrory say that his defense was the problem? surely its his chin, he cant take a punch. ffs his legs wobbled after a punch. I just cant see him going far unless he finds a route full of feather fisted fighters.

does anybody have fotage when Prescott is is going at it on the pads (dressing room prior to fight)??

He is impressive on the pads.... of course defence is the problem..... chin won't be a problem if he is not getting hit. It was a bit like in the contender show when Rawling was "defending" Minter by saying its a crying shame he cuts... Atlas was saying simple "get a better defence and he won't cut". Same applies to Khan, get a better defence and he won'tbe on the canvas.

Go to the Mayweathers.... personally I think Roger is the better coach.

I think Jeff is better than both of them. Floyd Sr is too expensive...Roger is much more attack minded, and other than Floyd what has he done? Floyd Jr mostly trains himself anyway!!

Jeff is the most articulate and thoughtful (outwardly) of the two and he knows just as much. Either way however, none of them are going to help Khan because unless the man turns into Roy Jones and develops that type of style/defence, any time he gets hit he is going to get tumbled over.

This is why I was so shocked that a few posters agreed with Oliver that he should go to train at Wincobank.
I love the place but defence is not their forte, it is based on reactions and movement.
Whatever happens, the demons will still be there for Khan. Psychologically he's a massive hurdle to get over, because you can forget all the rhetoric, Khan in his own mind and in his quiet moments will be playing this over and over, and knows he can't take the shots.

as from what i've seen in the fight vid the way he was knockout, and of course knowing khan.
he got up that fast because its shameful to get knockout that fast!
though his eye sight on prescott was on 4 figures.

As i've said in a previous thread, if this was the first time Khan was wobbled or knocked down them maybe he could come back from it to win a world title, but he's been floored or wobbled by too many , and when he gets hit its like a shock to his whole system, his legs just go, and it takes him a while to get them back under himself.

I just can't see how he can compete at world level like that.

the guys who say 'it's not chin, it's defence', jesus christ wake up. Even the fighters with the best defence get hit. Everyone gets hit. Khan can't hold a shot, fullstop. Prescott could probably have knocked him out using only that left jab.

he went with the jab and got slightly hurt by one.

because of that he panicked and went with a hook.

i think khan will become a world champ of Hatton status. ie beat a faded good un, and numerous low level champs

then get whallopped when he fights a P4Per

His future looks similar to Duane Bobick. More early and undignified kayo losses til hes forced to hang em up early.

Hatton took shots from Magee, Thaxton, and Especially Tszyu, that would have put Khan in a coma.

Khan will never get to fight a P4Per because he is likely to get knocked cold by a fringe world class fighter, in fact, he already got knocked cold by someone who at best is fringe world class (remains to be seen) and at worst is a clubfighter with an good dig on him.

Khan has a much chance of becoming a fighter on a par with Hatton, as I am to have Naomi Campbell waiting for me with squirty whipped cream to stick in my bumhole and lick it out for me when I get home.
