So its a points loss and out for Matt Skelton then.

Leaves the door open for Danny Williams or Michael Sprott for Audley Harrison on the Amir Khan comeback bill.

Could we have Audley v John McDermott? I actually would be intriuged to see who would come out on top with Williams III and particularly Sprott II.....

Vidoz vs Skelton in Italy!
Salvatore Cherchi's OPI 2000 has won the right to stage the vacant European heavyweight championship bout between Paolo Vidoz (25-5, 14 KOs) and Matt Skelton (21-2, 18 KOs). The purse auction took place today at EBU headquarters in Rome. The bout will likely land on December in Italy.

£5 says Matt doesn't shave his back for this one.

I once got a taxi and the driver said he used to train Matt. Anybody know who this was?

Iv just checked McDermott's record and seen he is scheduled (according to boxrec) to fight Williams on the 1st of November at the Alexandra Pavillion.

Counts those 2 out of a fight with Audley in December anyway. Like I said in another thread Audley said in an interview with Steve Bunce that he wasnts a fight with a big guy who will come at him and mentioned specifically Martin Rogan again. It would appear that fight could still be relaistic for his next fight. Like you I expect his next fight to be on the next Khan bill.

It hasnt been mentioned where the fight will take place, if its in Italy then we have to concede that Matt will need a KO.

I watched some of the Vidoz v Samm fight on youtube tho and Vidoz's jab is actually pretty good, he was landing a decent amount of jabs on Samm early on in that fight.

The did draw initially, then sometime after the fight a judge claimed to have made a mistake and Sam was awarded the belt...then sometime after that he vacated it.
