Guzman vs Campbell is OFF.

Sources close to the situation have just informed us that the clash between former super featherweight champion Joan Guzman and WBA, IBF & WBO champion Nate Campbell is officially off. Late last night, Guzman was forced to go to the hospital after suffering from dehydration and coughing up blood.
After coming in 3.5 pounds over the 135-pound limit, Guzman was given two hours to make the weight, but opted not to, instead returning to his hotel room. Hours later, Guzman was taken to the hospital for observation after coughing up blood. Due to the seriousness of the situation, the fight with Campbell has been called off.

Let hope he is ok, but he really needs to decide what weight he should be in.
How can he make Superfeather and fight but in his first fight at lightweight he fails to make weight?

Jeez that's shocking. Obviously hope that Guzman is all right.
I have to say though, I find it all very mysterious that a guy who in his late 20s was making 122lbs 3 years ago and is now having severe problems making 135lbs.

I've lost count of the amount of Guzman fights that were called off at the last minute or broken down at the final phase of negotiations.
Hope he's okay though.

He keeps moving up in weight and struggles to make the new weight, there has to be something seriously wrong going on there.

Now thats out of the way............
Guzman's bottle, or professionalism, have to be brought into question here. He has had more cancelled fights than Ryanair have had flights
He's an outstanding talent and has been for years, but has yet to fight anyone of real note (we are told because nobody will fight him). Well, Cambell was willing, but was Guzman? There has to be a question mark over that!
