The rounds Hatton 'won' are open to interpretation - I think it is more to do with PBF letting him blow himself out.

Hatton's ducked way too many fights for me tom rate him.

The best Hatton loses to the best Witter so Witter is above him.

A bit of Yorkshire bias, I concede, though I rate his skills highly without seeing a Khan-like downside.

As regards Cook above Hatton - you've already noted my view that Hatton has an over inflated reputation (don't get me wrong, he's superb entertainment but his recent record on pure boxing grounds is less than impressive). Cook has good skills, won a title above his prime weight against a decent fighter, and like Ricky has only lose once, to a genuinely world class operator.

You also query my picking Bradley Price. Others have mentioned (but I left out) Jamie Moore, Enzo Maccarinelli, Dean Francis, Colin Lynes, Alex Arthur, Ian Napa. Of these, Napa has consistently fallen short against good fighters, Arthur was found out by Cook having beaten few fighters of note, Francis was made to look distinctly ordinary by Oakey, Maccarinelli was dropped by Haye and has no defence. This leaves Lynes and Moore. I confess that Lynes slipped my mind and probably should have ousted Brook who was, as I've said above, a slightly parochial selection.

So Moore vs Price. I give Price the benefit of the doubt regarding that period wherein he seemed not to care, so am not too worried by the red six, especially given that Jennings and Olusegun are quality operators. Against that, he has a convincing win over Moore conqueror Ossie Duran and good wins over Anthony Small and Martin Conception. Moore, meanwhile, has been in a couple of great wars, but has been beaten by average fighters when supposedly focussed. At worst its a pick em decision.

I really don't know how anyone can rank Witter above Hatton, I often critisised Hatton for not taking the fight and making up some of the most pathetic excuses I've heard from a professional fighter("He slagged me off" oh stop the world a sportsman has slagged a rival off boo feckin hoo) but I have no illusions now after Witter lost a one-sided fight(Bradley won every round in my eyes) to an untested fighter in Bradley that Hatton would be too much for Witter.
