somewhere from the depths of my memory is an answer that his mother is British and his dad was born in Mauritius...

I am more than happy to be corrected - I may well have fabricated that whole thing from memories which never were.......

He used to own a carpet shop......very well made but boring patterns.

A mate at school was filling in a form and put his name, date of birth etc then next to sex he put no thanks.
