It has been over 6 months since he beat Carl Johanneson for the British title. Is his period of grace over now?

There are plenty of good fights that could be made. My preference would be Mitchell vs Foster.

There was talk of Burns V Cook, can't see that myself.

Can't say i'm wetting myself over a Burns vs Mitchell fight.

Johan battered Burns and we all know what happened there....

I spoke with Kevin the other day have a look at the Q&A i did with him in another thread.

He injured his hand and had it in a cast at the Arthur-Cook fight and hopes to fight on the proposed 6 December show.

As for the proposed fight with the guy who beat Johanneson is Leva Kirayosyan who has since lost the European title to Sergei Gualykevich. Gulaykevich will defend his European title against Vitaly Tajbert in Germany before the end of this year. So Mitchell won't foght for the European title that is definate.

what about an eliminator with kirayosyan?

that would be a worthwhile fight.

mitchell needs to get cracking now.

he's 23 or 24 now.

time to shift those gears.

I'd like to see Mitchell moved above British level, I think he answered allot of questions against Johanson. Hes the type of fighter who could grab belt if hes in the right place at the right time, especially in todays weaker division.

Hopefully Mitchell will be matched better than Ricky Burns. I be ok with Kirayosyan.

I think they should be looking to get him in against Cassius Baloyi.
Gulyakevich will probably get a chance at the (vacant)WBA title after his European defence and it'll be against an average Argentinian aswell so he'll be fancied to win that.

So it's best not to go after him straight away.

I wouldn't be too fussed with Ricky Burns and then a shot at Arthur (if he wins his comeback fight and assuming it won't be against Nicky Cook). If Burns does get a shot at a world title then God help boxing - he's failed at British level a few times.
