My pop James Tynan was a bare knuckle fighter from Sydney he was born 1923 and grew up hard during the depression he fought under the name Kid Gourgeous and took on the Australian champion of the time. this is all the info ive ever been told besides the name of the champion he fought which i forgot.

Im trying to find some information listing the fighters, champions, match results around that time.

My grand father and uncle told me about 'bare knuckle' boxing that they
watched outside of Darwin in the late 1950s. That is all I really know,
sadly my grand father is dead, but I shall ask my uncle who lives in the
NT still about it.

I would be interested in knowing more about this also.
