Michael Gomez V Chris Brophy

I see that Michael Gomez, the man who had previously put up a decent show against Amir Khan, (a man from a higher weight division) was back in action on Sunday, against Chris Brophy, a man who has won 3 fights, lost over 20 , and never stopped an opponent. I won't post the result in case people are watching it later.
There are some decent fighters at Super featherweight- Loads, in fact- many of which could be suitable future opponents for Gomez.
It would be great to see VIP lining up a show with Gomez headlining- sure to sell out.

It was concerning that on a youtube video of Spencer Fearon interviewing Gomez, that Gomez it took Gomez along time to recognise Fearon and then when he did realise - he thought he was still an active boxer. Admittedly it was a directly after the Khan fight.

You cant fault him for honesty, when you can catch what he says. Some of it doesnt make much sense though, Michael says Khan is world class and then says he should keep away from Jon Thaxton. As good as Jon is, he is only a top domestic, so if Khan couldnt beat Thaxton then how can he be World class potential.
