From 1976 to 1979, Danza was a professional boxer with a 12-3 record.

All his wins were by knockout.

Danza earned a bachelor's degree in history education from the University of Dubuque, which he attended on a wrestling scholarship.

Shortly after graduation, he was discovered by a producer at a boxing gymnasium in New York, and "Taxi" (1978) rolled into his life.

File under Strange but true.

Can Tauasa compete with these fighters. What are people's thoughts.

Rico Hoye got slaughtered unbelievably in his fight with Diaconou.

That has to play on his mind. Darnell Wilson is the only guy that can stop Laurence and with the chin he has, Tauasa is a real smokie to make the semi finals.

I think you will find the Alexander is Max, who lost to Sam Soliman at Super Middleweight in the earlier Contender Series. He has been campaigning as a Cruiserweight lately. I think Tauasa should be able to hold his own with this group.

a few of the boys over on current scene have promoted Troy Ross, has good KO ratio but unless we know more these records could be inflated.

Sorry, you are right. But the bloke in "Contender" calls himself "Michael". He does not come up as "active" because he has not fought since June last year.

Since losing a majority decision to Sosnowski at heavyweight, Lawrence has won all his fights by KO, with none going more then four rounds. One of his victims was giant Kiwi Richard Tutaki, who went the distance with Chauncy Welliver. Tauasa KOed Richard in 2 rounds.

Tauasa has never been KOed and is a tough match for anybody.

Just saw the referee give a "mercy" ruling, saving Eduardo Rojas in the second against Jamie Pittman. Back in April Rojas was stopped in 2 by Tauasa in a challenge for Lawrence's Australasian Cruiserweight title. Rojas looked a fat slug at light heavyweight, Lord knows what he must have looked like as a cruiser. :shame:

Rojas FOUGHT Pittman at light heavyweight tonight (November 7). At least he took up half of the ring. Pittman knocked him down in the first and again in the second. Referee stopped it at that point. Rojas looked like he needed a lifeboat.
