Over the years i have seen some shocking ring attire being worn outside/inside the ring. Just wanted to find out who everyone thinks has the worst sense of fashion in a boxing ring. Mallignaggi is in a league on his own but here are my top 5 shit ring attire culprits.

1. Whoever wore that tuxedo ( i think it was Winky?)
2. Eamonn Magees irish hula skirt vs RH
3. Nigel Benns extemely short shorts it might have well been a jock strap
4. Naz's Leopard skin shorts
5. Sugar Ray Leonards tassles on his fackin boots(RJJ and PBF have also done this!)

In close 6th Michael Katsidis Gladiator outfit- The tit!!

Hector 'Macho Man' Camacho and the truly tasteless Jorge Paez.

Arthur Abraham and that Smurf hat. Shambles.

Saw Adrian Dodson skin tight atire on Nuts Tv the other night.

Danny's thighs would be worse.

worst is Jorge Paez, he was entertaining, but really bad taste in outfits.

Best, the Kronk shorts, Tyson in all black, Ali in his white shorts, Hagler in his purple number

DeMarcus Corley wore some dodgy stuff.

Hate Witter's Jamaica/England shorts.

I remember being shocked and appalled by a skirt worn by Sharmba Mitchell that looked like it was made from one of those jangly room dividers from the 70's with strings of tube sections hanging from the top of the doorframe.

Remember Riddick Bowe- Pierre Coetzee? Bowe was a fat bastard for this fight and his shorts split at the back early on.
Unfortunately Coetzee had a hell of a chin which meant Bowe's fat ass was on show for a looong time. Not nice.

Bad - Hopkins Executioner mask is in pretty bad taste.

Good - agree with all Ian's - the Kronk shorts shouldn't work, but they do.

Johnny Nelson's tassles were very revealing, he took the meaning showing balls in the ring to a whole new level.

I don't like the really high waisteband shorts some boxers where, its as if they are trying to con the referee about low body shots.
during the refs instructions he can be seen showing where the opposite boxer can hit, sometimes this is below the waisteband of the shorts, but surely the shorts offer some protection for his opponent.

The Ref or the board should have a look at the shorts pre fight and agree they are suitable, if they are not then the boxer should wear his spare pair.

as far as entrance attire, that Roman soldier get-up Floyd wore into the Gatti fight fell flat on its face IMO. Floyd just hasn't got the charisma to pull these things off.

Not a big fan of Hatton's man city/tassle numbers, though they are unique at least.

G-Man Mclellan, emerald green with white trim shorts. Think GM has a thing for the colour green, must have read that somewhere.

I quite like the half england half jamica shorts Witter and Munroe wear. As im of Jamaican origin i would prob opt for that attire as well if i was a pro!

Hattons shorts are usually dreadful - more like something the old wrestler Bret "The Hitman" Hart would wear.

Bernard Hopkins's negative KKK attire. Looked like an Emperial Guard from Star Wars.

Hopkins shorts against Eastman were shocking. I think Mrs Hopkins must have washed them on 90degrees.

Gomez had a few pedal pusher occasions.

Ryan Rhodes' current 'shorts' it looks like he's wearing a big saggy nappy.

Hahaha no, I remember Boxing News covering it in their black & white days, complete with a picture of said journeymen, clad in black stockings and suspenders, standing over his floored opponent.

I can't remember who they were, though. They were middleweight or thereabouts, the stockings guy was a dangerous journeyman i.e. he typically came to win rather than survive, and he was black. The loser was a minor prospect who may have won an Area title before or after, and was white.

Hagler purple felt ones were a little on the camp side.

Lennox's huge white ones were funny also - I never quite understood the psychology behind them (he did try and explain).
