just read this in boxing news (i dont buy it..i read it in wh smith like everyone else)

carl baker is coming back

im a bit concerned

any guesses how much he weighs now ?

i reckon currently 345 lbs

however i def want to see him in prizefighter 3

I remember his fight against Scott Gammer , it was close and if Carl had a bit more conditioning he may of pulled out the win

just a very weird fighter

altho he avenged 2 losses and went 10 rounds...still a novice i suppose

Carl's already had more trainers than an ultra runner.

Had a chat with the big man ringside a few weeks ago and he told me he was with another trainer. Think it might be Dave Coldwell - my memory is a bit hazy.

I always ask him about his weight as whenever I used to do a piece on him the mandatory opening was 'Britain's biggest boxer, Carl Baker' or some such nonsense.

This was a few weeks ago:

"How's the weight, Carl?"
"Now I'm back in training, the weight's dropping off. I've lost six stone already."
"Really? What are you now then?"
"20st 5."

He was a bit annoyed because he'd heard Tyson Fury weighs more than him though.

I watched Him Spar last night, Looked well.

Is he at Glyn's Scrap ?

Good on him. I hope it works out well for him-He's a smashing fella, and he actually has bags of talent, just needs to train more and get focussed.If he does, I think he can pull off some big wins.

Carl was frustrating to watch, you could see he had some talent there, but his conditioning used to let him down.

His weight went up and down like a tart's knickers.
Anyway, change of environment now so hopefully change in attitude.
