Just got back from the VIP show in Leigh – yet another cracker. Full report / news will follow, but I though I’d let you all know the results for now.

Kays -V- Razak
Great opening fight, in which Kays looked very strong – despite a flash knockdown in the 1st. Jon Kays won on points 37-39.

Dilks – Ambler
Dilks won on PTS. Another Top Performance From the Scouser.

Robinson -V- Riyaz
Robinson won on PTS; 36-40. Another Scouser who looked very sharp indeed.

Place -V- Kitson
Place won TKO 2nd. Place fought really, really well in his debut and looks like another VIP star of the future. Body shot had Kitson down in the 1st, and then again in the 2nd.

Murray -V- Sovijus
Murray won KO 1st. Another classic Murray performance. Now moves 9-0 and just seems to be stronger each time I see him!

Rose –V- Harvey
Rose Won PTS; 36-40. Rose continues to impress.

McDonagh –V- Rushton
McDonagh Won PTS; 54-60

Full fight report and photo’s to follow …….

Curious. How does a guy get knocked down and still manage to score 39 points? Did he knock the other guy down too in the same round?

Murray- a guy with 8 wins and no defeats, knocking out a guy who has lost 44 and only won 2 (and often stopped).

Not meaning to be nasty, but Steve Wood really does need to bring in some better quality opponents for guys like Murray and Rose now.

I was under the impression that a knockdown meant the round was given 10-8?

Given the final score it appears the round was given 10-9 to Sid?

Either that, or Sid actually LOST that round, and won one later, which appears improbable.

Or... I've jsut though- could just be a typo form Stegsie, in which case I feel..

you can get 10 points in a round if you get dropped, cause if you didnt get dropped you get 11 points ????

but i think if you clearly win the round and get dropped in process it should defo be a 9/9 round, not sure if that is case thou, fookin should be though

ala Khan v Gomez, that should have been a 9/9 round when khan got dropped cause he clearly won the round
