but he is definitely talented and is it just me or does everyone think he looks much more comfortable at this higher weight

He looked much better at that weight, I alsothink Davey could move up a weight or 2. Just because you can starve yourself down to a weight i dosnt mean its a good thing to be fighting there.

Davey did well enough on Friday night anyway. Give him time, he will grow into his body.

spot on ben!!! :TU: i wish a boxer would work out where he is most comfortable and stick with it. i know the younger guys will grow into their bodies as Brute has pointed out but we have seen and experienced first hand boxers cutting weight to fight at certain weights only to offer up excuses after the fight about dehydration, weakness etc. i am just starting a couple of young blokes on their way and will try and apply a common sense approach to this issue.

it is a tricky thing to be sure. It appears Pavlik may have suffered the opposite, with extra weight/muscle reducing speed. it is a fine line to tread.
