i seem to remember there was a documentary about johnny on tv a few years ago where his dad actually met up with lupe pintor. that can't have been easy for either of them

it's nice to see johnny hasn't been forgotten :TU:

Lupe unveilled the statue of Jonny in merthyr.

if anyone has a decent copy of the documentery I wouldnt mind a copy. I have one but it has kind of white noise in the background.

If you have just started the book, take it from me its a compelling read. Fantastic book. Owen didn't look like much - his physical presence didn't appear to be much, but boy was he a great fighter!

Owen was a very popular person.

The book 'the Life and Death of Johnny Owen' is a really good read, I recommend it to anyone
