I saw Kessler-Haussler on Eurosport last night. Opponent wasn't very good, but Kessler is looking very sharp and purposeful.
I would have to go with Kessler, due to his skills and experience.
It's a fight I'd love to see though, and reckon it's more realistic than Froch-Calzaghe.

Yeah, I loved the way he stepped in with the jab when Haussler was hurt. He just battered the man with jabs & the finish was great.
If he keeps on scoring brutal finishes like that, and keeps looking like the top man, I hope the big fights come.
I think his voluntary defence will be Gusmyl Perdomo, an apparent no-hoper. Accoring to BS, Kessler's promoter Palle had wanted a Larsen fight in Denmark, but Sauerland have Larsen, and SL have some kind of option on Bute, so it looks like Bute-Larsen (Canada? Germany?) and Kessler-Perdomo. I wonder if they could fight on the same card in Denmark, might stir up interest in a winner vs winner fight...
Sauerland seem to be aggressively pushng for super middleweight world title fights. Putting Haussler in with Kessler (!), pushing Larsen to a Bute fight. They also have Karo Murat - Euro champ - who is rated #5 by the WBA. Mabe Kessler will end up fighting him?

I think Kessler is more complete, Super Middleweight is getting tasty. If Inkin can grow some balls then we have 4 good solid champions and the unification will be tasty.

I like Froch but I think people have been overating him, me included. I think if he took on Kessler he would look slow and would be oupointed.

Larsen vs Bute! That sounds a tasty fight.
Larsen vs Kessler it must be 10 times more frustrating than us never getting Hatton vs Witter.

Thing with Froch is the low lead hand means his jab isnt as good as it could be which is a shame because he has incredibly long arms.
We will see how his power shows against the divisions top guys like Kessler, Bute, Inkin, Taylor etc.

Definitely.
I wonder if Sauerland will put Larsen in with Kessler. It makes too much sense, at least for the Danish fans and for both fighters. Larsen loses his southpaw advantage vs Bute, that's for sure. Kessler's ppl are apparently open to it.
Bute still has to fight a Sauerland fighter (from when Sauerland "gave"/lent/whatever them Berrio, for the Bute-Berrio vacant IBF title fight). Bute-Murat?

Bute-Berrio wasn't for the vacant title. Berrio was the champion.

Froch by late KO. Kesslers chin hasn't been tested by Froch-Power yet 8)

As much as I admire Froch and think he is a genuine world class fighter - for me if he fought Kessler now it would be a fight or 2 too soon. I think Kessler is a top world class performer.

You're hilarious, Chambers.
Froch has done nothing to justify a shot at a title.
Froch would have nothing but a punchers chance against Kessler.
Good night, and good luck.

As Froch's no1 fan by i cant be considered a good opinion.
But in saying that, Eric Teymour, Sergey Tatevosyan, Darren Barker and Brian Magee have sparred / boxed both and they all back Froch to take Kessler out.

This could really go either way. I'm a Froch fan, but Kessler is an efficient fighter and providing Froch didn't catch him with some wild shots and hurt him, I'd go for Kessler by either late stoppage or UD.

Don't try and make out that a shot at a title is some Holy Grail in boxing, we all know they're given out for breakfast these days. Carl's worked himself into the mandatory spot, because he wasn't getting any voluntary defences offered. I've seen 100's of boxers get shots at titles with far worse resumes than Carls, so I'm struggling to see ya point.
Carl is about to Shock The World Carbo me old fruit.... with wins over Pascal, Calzaghe and Kessler in the next 2 years

Kessler is an awesome talent who's got a granite chin (never down pro or amuture I think). I think he would probably school Froch at the moment, but if Froch gets a few big fights in the bag with a lot of different world-class styles then he could stand a chance in a few years. If he was to fight Kessler after Pascal then I feel he would lose, and lose widely.

Only thing Kessler lacks is a bit of finesse. He's a tad robotic and doesn't really breakout any surprise attacks or skills. Otherwise he is a solid boxer.

Dioufy,
You do know Froch is already in his 30's ?
Chance in a few years ? - He's got to do it NOW.

I'm sure they all said the exact opposite to Kessler and his team.

Tatevosyan put down Kessler in sparring
It was during a public workout prior to the Beyer fight.
To be fair to Mikkel he was carrying a rib injury and he caught it bang on.

And to be fair, that was when Tatevosyan still wanted to be a fighter.
Is the fight still on Gomez?
