Anyone know around what time the main bout will start? (ADT Time). I have to work but might be able to leave early to watch the fight. Dont know if it's worth buying it just for the replay. Also who is everyone going for? Im a big fan of both so am still undecided

The fight is 5 years to late, Would have been interesting before Jones went to heavyweight. Now Jones is a shadow of what he once was and maybe he can turn back the clock one last time but i doubt it.

Roy Jones along with Floyd Mayweather are the 2 best fighters of our time. But Roy now isnt as good as he once was. He might still have enogh to beat Joe but in his prime it would have been an easy victory.

Yeh it is a few years later than we would have liked, but these days we're starved of big fights so i think i will get it. Hope it's worth the cash!

the main event show starts at 1pm sydney time (which is 9pm nyc time)....i expect the fighters to walk to the ring anywhere between 1030pm and 1100pm nyc time which means anywhere between 230 and 300pm sydney time.
for some reason the pavlik hopkins fight started at 1100pm atlantic city time and the fights in the US are getting later and later for some reason....a mate told me that the donaire SHOW last week in vegas didnt start till 1015pm so god knows what time the main event was!
as for the actual fight...it will go one of 2 ways only....we'll see a really old RJJ enter the ring and get blown away early...9if youve watched any of the HBO 24/7 build up shows, RJ looks OLD!
or it'll a chess match (although pretty intense mid rounds when joe's workrate increases) that way Joe would win a SD or a UD.

and typical-according to foxsports venue guide no places in adelaide showing it.i am going to hhave to be content with mundine/pintos if i want to watch some boxing

.
and forgive me for senility/blindness but i thought the guide said 7pm for RJJ/JC which is why i was so excited coz i coulda watched after workin all day.sounded odd relative to other times events from the states are usually on.

Na bro def not 7pm...thats probably the replay.
As for no one in adelaide showing it? Surely u have a sportsbar in adelaide?
What about a friemd with foxtel? ask to 'borrow' their lounge and tv for a couple hrs, and then just pay them the $40..........there's no way I'd miss this. There is always a way around these things my man!

I thoroughly expect Calzaghe to hammer Jones. 10 years ago Jones by easy decision or TKO but at 39 and with his speed and reflexes gone (overwhelmingly his biggest assets in his prime) I can't see any other outcome. And the result will mean absolutely zilch

thats what roy bsically said on the first episode of 24/7...that if joe wins everyone expected anyway!
i dont really think joe should retire yet, what a waste of 11 yrs as champ if he doesnt consolidate his career by getting himself in the HOF...beating lacy, kessler, hopkins and a washed up RJJ wont get u in the HOF.
he needs 3 superfights next year to secure that, and with pavlik now getting whooped badly by hopkins thats one superfight that no longer exists...
maybe froch? dawson?...who else? kessler again?
i dont have a lot of sympathy for him though, he left it to late in his career.

are there any 'superfights' left? Surely the likes of Tarver wouldn't count as such these days?

You know as well as we all do that it is Calzaghe who missed the boat, no one else is to blame. There were big fights out there for him and he chose to fight Tocker Pudwel... he made his bed.

Two brothers punching on is pretty exciting to me, forget the past, when you get two siblings in the ring for the right to say i'm tougher or maybe an act of revenge for Vitali getting the top bunk, it would get exciting.

but u would sub consciously hold back...no doubt about it...and sometimes with the klits (wlad especially) the last thing u wanna see them do is hold back

Well if Wlad lasted 12 rounds with his Glass jaw with Vitali, you know Vitali was holding back, otherwise Vitali would end it in 4 rounds.
