Why is he not fighting Michael Sprott or Matt Skelton in december, names that would get him some attention.

Both are available yet hes fighting an unranked 10 fight novice. Another no win situation for him, just like his last two fights.

Considering his age, propensity to get injured, and inability to fight frequently, you'd really think he'd need to make his rare ring appearences count.

Even Danny Williams would probably be up for it.

I suspect his path will be something along the lines of Rogan, Sprott and then Skelton - That is what I was reading anyway.

He's not going anywhere is he.

He's already fought Sprott and Williams three times and lost two of them, which probably answers your question.

I just don't understand Harrison at all.

I was so keen for him to succeed in the beginning, but I've now grown weary of him.

A rematch with Sprott would have been a great idea from his own personal standpoint, for a shot a redemption etc, but it doesn't seem to be forthcoming.

A saw an interview with Audley where he was saying he'sbeen desperately trying to get Sprott (and Guinn) back in the ring, but they're having none of it

I'm sick and tired of seeing domestic matchups between this lot at heavweight. I'm sure he could find someone decent without resorting to the usual suspects yet again.

I was under the impression that allegedly was the promoter and the guy who made the matches.

Audley should stop kidding himself and get serious. George Arias deserves a rematch after his sturdy showing on the Khan undercard. At this rate Nicky Cook will be remaining as the only world champion in Warren's stable.

Does nowhere count as somewhere?

He should only fight people above him in the European or world rankings, Perhaps the Polish guy who just beat up Williams he lives in england and will get a boost in the rankings from this fight.

for audley at this stage, i think it would be a nice way to salvage something from his career

There was a critical event that stumped Audley Harrisons boxing career.... he turned professional! He was lured into it by the BBC with that dopey £1 million 10 fight deal and what happened? Audley bought himself a neckful of bling and binned the gym.

He was fed a collection of "fallovers" and then he had to deal with the likes of Julius Francis who despite having lost 6 fights on the bounce took Audley the distance for an alphabet soup title. Audley was now in the real "slug it out" world of boxing and the truth is that Audley couldn't get himself in to the gym and in to the peak condition he needed to be in to contend at the top level. He started his career at a big, muscular 260lbs and now floats around 10lb lighter but flabby.

Sadly Audley will never cut it at the top because the likes of the Klitchko's & Hayes of this world realise that the gym is the master of success. All the true champs knew it in the past and know it now. no matter what your fighting weight you have to pay homage to the gym...and Audley keeps avoiding that fact.

True enough, like most on this forum I class the British title as a fantastic achievement. However, we must judge Audley on his own words and for so long he has told us he will be undisupted world champion. So anything less than European would see his career end as a massive catalogue of underachievement.

He has been very successful at underachieving.... he should quit while he is at the top

There is no doubt he needs to make a move soon.

I'll give him credit for avenging his first loss to Danny Williams. Danny is no slouch, and has a few good wins under his belt. Coming back from a tough loss to him to KO him was a good sign that he wanted to improve and advance.

Now he has a loss to Dominic Guin in a fight no one wants to see a rematch in. But he also has a loss to Sprott. Audley dropped Sprott in the first, and might be able to avenge his loss like he did to Danny.

Avenging a loss is always big when trying to regain lost ground. It does not wipe the slate clean that you lost in the first place, but it does help quite a bit.

If Audley could rematch Sprott and get a win he could then move on to fight a few top guys from the US. He needs to make that move soon. Then after that may be a shot at a Russian. THere are plenty of titles to shoot for. But I'd still like to see him leave no doubt he is the best in Britain before he takes out those outside of there. Clean up your own backyard and be the big fish in your pond before you venture out for bigger fish.

If he can't be teh top dog in Britain, than he is not ready for the rest of the World. That is not to say Britain does not have some decently tough guys, but they are not top 10 or top 15 fighters, so he really needs to be able to beat them.

I think its a bit too late for Audley to prove if he's the best in Britain. He's tried that before and came up short. If he wants to achieve anything in his pretty much non-existent career to date then its time to take some chances and get in with a top ten rated heavy. I'm not alone in thinking that its time for "ordinary" to put up or shut up. After the olympics Harrison had it all handed to him on a plate and he's thrown it all back in everyones face. Its time to either prove he's a talent or just disappear. Personally i wouldn't notice if he just disappeared

Why is anyone combining the words serious and Audley in the same sentence. His career is a complete Joke, he just hasn't got the marbles to be a threat at any worthwhile level.
