I'm glad you did an "Official" Good Luck Kell thread because what with all the other unofficial good luck Kell threads everywhere I've been struggling with where to register my well wishes. So here goes. Good luck Kell.

"Kid" Kell Brook, a young Sheffield fighter with all the promise in the world, enters The Lion's Den of Glasgow tomorrow night for the first defence of his British welterweight title against Paisley southpaw Kevin McIntyre, a seasoned pro with an axe to grind and now with the proverbial chance to wield one. The tall, slick-boxing, 30-year-old McIntyre was stripped of the same British title in the summer when he pulled out of a couple of dates against Brook - mandatory defences - citing a back injury. The unbeaten, smooth, heavy handed Brook picked up the vacant belt in a 'gimme' with Barrie Jones, a blown-up light-welterweight from Wales who was stopped in seven rounds - but McIntyre is the rightful champion, in the eyes of many, and Brook now has to disprove such a notion at an untested 22.
Call it crunch time.
You know, Brook is yet another product of the legendary Brendan Ingle school of boxing but at 17-0 (10) - admittedly, one of those 'ducked' fighters - has never beaten anyone, as Naz, Bomber, Witter, Nelson and all those other Wincobank nightmares had beaten good fighters by their 17th fight, at least three or four good fighters. All you get are rumours of Brook's prowess in sparring, against the likes of Ryan Rhodes, Young Mutley, Matthew Hall and others, which count for absolutely nothing, good fighters as they are themselves. Barry McGuigan once said most fighters 'kid a bit' in sparring, so THIS represents Brook's biggest fight to date, even as the champion, his first real test.
McIntyre challenged for this title before Brook even turned pro, when he went eight rounds with a 'hot' David Barnes in Manchester in 2003. He was given no chance beforehand but showed he could box a bit before body shots finished him and really shook up the domestic scene last year when he outboxed and outpointed big Brook rival and previously unbeaten Tony Doherty on 'away' turf in Wales over 10 rounds and then fellow Scot Kevin Anderson - a big puncher in the Brook mould - for the British title over 12 sparkling rounds, again on 'away' territory in Anderson's own Irvine backyard. McIntyre proved it was no fluke, too, outscoring Anderson earlier this year to retain the title. Then came the Brook shenanigans, and McIntyre looked to be avoiding Brook like everyone else. This proves otherwise.
McIntyre, the mandatory challenger, has seemingly knocked on every door on his round as a postie and said his piece, and done so every morning. He is certainly 'up' for it, and gets his chance on home turf in Scotland at the historic Kelvin Hall, scene of all those great nights featuring Jim Watt, a southpaw himself.
Crunch time has arrived for BOTH men.

is she older than 15?
Why? Is that when they get too old for you

well he has got a mental age of 15.
jackthehat wrote:haha how sad Emma why dont you try and get in touch with him and ask him to take you to the pictures or something, stalking him and making pointless threads on boxing forums reminds me of the film Fatal Attraction, very sad indeed
Whats sad is you and your boring predictable behaviour of making pathetic comments about me at every opportunity you get. Why dont you get off the pc and go and find yourself a woman ( if you can) then maybe you will stop being so bitter and twisted.

I think this fight might get very one sided, very quickly. I just have a feeling that Brook will hurt McIntyre early and get him out of there by about the sixth. Styles make fights and even though Kevin bettered Anderson twice, prior to that he showed he could get hurt and stopped. I think Brook is younger and fresher and will get the job done relatively early.
But of course...i'm known to have been wrong
