Rumour has it he's in hospital after being smashed up by doormen...apparently for mouthing off.

Well if true that's bad news for Meaty Mick and the show on 13-12-08 - and for Lee McAllister.
Hopefully it is just a rumour.

It seems to be official that he's out, but haven't seen an official reason.

I was in ABerdeen yesterday and local press had John Murray withdrawing because of an old cut opening, left eye - and a new date of January 17th made - if Murray pulls again, he'll be stripped they believed.

Shame Murray has pulled out because he looked sensational in the Meager fight and was hoping he could show he's reached a new level, boxing-wise. If he really did get done over/filled in/a drubbing from some doormen he could always say it was from sparring so I guess we'll never know. But if it was the doormen in Manchester it wouldn't surprise me... alot of them are absolute ba******** and will take any excuse to give you a going over. Also, allegedly,many of them work for, ahem,allegedly, "firms." But you didn't hear it from me!

I heard Wayne Rigby took out five bouncers in a row a few years back. If true, my hat goes off to him.

Now ... if you were to say - he has decided he does not fancy the job with McCallister then that is a little more believeable.

He's waited so long for that British title, so I doubt he'd want to throw that away.

He got knocked out by an Asian kid!! That's the simple and honest fact!!

I recently had an incident with a doorman, he was doing a nice sideline in having someone go round and nik handbags which were being left unatended. My mates girlfriend saw this person trying to steal her bag.
So i went to grab him, and to my surprise 2 bouncers steamed into me. Luckily one was just a fat lump, who got pushed over, the other got in a couple before i managed to get him off, after that i was dragged out. the police were outside passing. And i couldn't believe it but the bouncers wanted me arrested for assault!!

Luckily the copper listened to what i had to say, and he arrested the guy who was doing the stealing,if it wasn't for a couple of people backing my story up i would have been done. i was told that the police would watch the cctv, and i could still be charged with assault if it proved i started the fight.

Unsurprisingly after a month the police rang me to say that the club couldn't find the cctv disk of that night.

Thats the reason i don't usually go to clubs.
