I really hope Mike can put in a good performance, does anyone think a peak Jennings can at least improve his world standing??

Can't see Jennings being able to do much at all, the last time Cotto dopped this much in class (or more) we all seen the result v Gomez, and although Jennings will probably offer atleast abit more, I don't think it will be an awful alot more.

Cotto/Gomez but even more brutal - his corner pulls him out after three rounds, if he's still conscious.

Jennings doesn't hit hard enough to give Cotto any trouble.

quite simple. Absolutely no chance whatsoever. That being the case, good luck. He is going to get mullerised.

No. He might improve his airmiles.

Cotto walks right through him Jennings does not hit hard enough to keep him off

Has this fight been made then?
Mixed feelings - I like Jennings a lot, good fighter, good guy... but because of that, I can't get excited about the fight. The difference in levels will be brutally exposed. Jennings is a tidy fighter, but i'd be a lot more comfortable if he had a bit of a dig on him - at least enough to keep Cotto off. Unfortunately he doesn't.
Cotto to absolutely hammer him... he just doesn't have anything to deter him. I appreciate that he'll back himself, and its a big fight on a big stage - but sometimes management need to look at what they're doing.
I hope this doesn't end his career, and I hope he's getting very well paid.

Been told it's down to 2; Jennings or Berto in Feb.

just read the fight is virtually confirmed. Sorry, but Jennings will be hammered, unless he goes to survival mode. How did he get such a high ranking

Jesus, what on earth is cotto doing taking such a pointless fight? Even Alfonso Gomez would batter Jennings, this is going to be an ugly massacre.

only just seen he fought last night on the undercard of brook. sounds like he scraped to a close points win over 8 to a unknown, not the best prep for cotto!

Jennings was badly hurt against Price, I really don't see this going much past 3 unless Cotto want to get rounds in. No disrespect to Jennings he's a solid pro but I see this being like Pavlik Lockett but more of a mismatch.

Not much difference between Berto and Jennings for Cotto's comeback is there?? Is'nt beneficial to either boxer, unless Mike ( a top lad ) is on a huge wage packet. It'd be brutal for as long as Cotto wants.

He has more chance than Gomez did.
Mike is a better fighter than Lockett by some distance but then Cotto is better than Pavlik by some distance too.

Jennings won't just stand there like Gomez did but I can't see Jennings winning this one.

I like Mike and would love for him to pull it off but I see Cotto stopping him inside 5-6

Funny enough I was thinking exactly the same. Jennings like Lockett is good at his level though.

I feel the same. Cotto will systematically beat Jennings' arse into the canvas.

It goes no further than 4 rounds and thats if Cotto is in a good mood.
Don't like disrespecting fighters - I hope Michael Jennings causes the biggest sensation in many years - I just can't see how he does it though.

I don't think Jennings will do too well actually...
I like him, but Cotto is well out of his league.
I can see this being another "routine" victory for Cotto...
Let's hope that Jennings is brave and doesn't get hurt too bad... :(
