Aussie bantamweight Emmett Gazzard fights Torrence Daniels ( 12-5) in Syracuse Usa next Wed night. Gazzard ( 8-0) hasn't fought for 17 months. Strange to see him pop up on this US card.

Emmett & trainer/father John had been in US for quite some time.
They'll be returning to Gold Coast in the very near future.

Good on him fighting in the States, good exposure but most importantly he fights higher calibre of opponents, not really enough Batamweights floating around Australia.

I heard he's now got a P1 visa, which enables to stay over there for quite some time, so he'll campaign over there during 2009.
He beat Torrence convincingly and could've done better had he not suffered busted eardrum in round 3

Probably wasn't that bad, otherwise his dad would've thrown in the towel
