One punch and that would have splatered everywhere. It took two minutes to get it stopped.

Just look at the interview Dunne is not bleeding. Dunne just don't want to fight.

3 inch cut down the middle of his forehead, made me laugh the commentator said it was only small and looks much worse than it is, while his face was caked in blood.
Shame really cause Dunne was boxing well and winning clearly, but cuts like that can shorten careers

No I did not bet on this fight. I just look at Dunne very carefully after he took a dive against Martinez.

I just think that Irish fans is the best in the world, and it is a shame that they have to support guy like Dunne.

Dunne fought well and was outboxing the guy until the terrible cut. However, I was ringside and didn't see it on TV but i'm surprised nobody picked up on the fact Dunne appeared quite badly hurt in the 6th and on shaky legs. Will need to check the DVD when I get home

Dunne fought ok against a guy that has no chin and was a little stunned and holding on at least one occasion. He will succeed at the Euro level but he'll get demolished against genuine world class. He has some skills but no pop whatsoever and he's rather chinny. He wouldn't make it out of rd 3 against the top 5 in the division. His people will need to carefully choose his opponents.

I still think he would be in with a shout against Molitor, and at least be competitive. Molitor isn't exactly a concussive hitter, just very skilled.

In the show opener Sheffield debutant Steve Barnes completed four good sessions of work, outpointing regular loser Piotr Niesporak. Referee Emile Tiedt scored 40-35, the same as myself, as Barnes (9st 5lb) switched stances as is familiar with his training team of the Ingles'. It looked like it might not go too far as 17 year-old Barnes raced out of the blocks and dropped Niseporak (9st 9llb) within seconds with a swiping double left hook. But praise to the Pole (now 1-19-1) who stuck by it and refused to whither under some solid body and head blows. Barnes seemed to be more comfortable when he boxed as a southpaw and Niseporak's red face was testament to some of those straight left hands. Inevitably Steve appeared to tire a little by the end of the third round, but still had enough in the tank to unleash some lead rights in the final stanza as he endeavoured to put Niesporak away.
