Who is the commentator that did haye/calzaghe fights, not sure if have heard him before. I much prefer him to Rawling who drones on with a number of obvious statements.

Anyone think Warren has made him leave setanta rather than work on the calzaghe/haye fights being that they are his worst two enemies at the minute. The article in the guardian today wasnt even written by Rawling.

He talking about David Croft does the darts on bbc.

oh ok never heard of croft before, cant say i am a darts fan. so the new team is from darts and snooker then interesting combo.

they wouldnt do worse than get the guy from the snooker (the one who was doing the interviews) to be mc. have seen him to it for the snooker world champs and he is good.

he done work on bbc before. He was ok, Rawling was doing darts on itv tonight!!

David Croft, used to work as a journalist covering local football in the herts beds area then went to work for Radio 5 live

'Crofty' does the Formula One for 5 Live.

He's doing a very good job, I think.

I think it will take getting used to. Rawling I believe is now full time on ITV now since the Hennessey deal... Bunce said in one of his Bunce hours.

He seems solid and inoffensive. Don't think he did a bad job.

I like Richie hes better then duke.

I'd give Syd Waddell the gig.

I don't particularly mind him but I would have John Rawling over him any day of the week.

Yes without question Darkie is the number 1 boxing colour commentator. Shame he seems to do less and less boxing these days and seems to be sticking with football :(

Don't like this Croft guy, he seemed to forget he was doing TV rather than radio.

Dempsey was much better on the big occasion though, and even Barry seemed to have upped his game.

Bunce excellent as usual - even slagging his sports ed at the Indie off!

Didn't Bunce take the piss out of this guy, on the Vitali-Peter night? Was during the Solis-Welliver. Bunce brought up something that the commentator said, about Chauncey's conditioning might be the key to outlasting Solis?

I thought he was shocking on the Calzaghe fight totally over-stating everything going on. I normally give commentators a break but it was pretty bad I thought.

Last night not so bad....

Thought some of his comments were a bit wide of the mark to be honest. Like when Haye caught him with the big right upercut and his legs totally went from under him in a delayed reaction and the commentator said he went down trying to avoid Haye's next shots.
