This one's going to be a load of crap I think - no names, apart from the youngster Murray. It definitely shouldn't be on PPV regardless of it being part of a package deal. I would be pushed to watch it if it was on Friday Fight Night to be honest.

this one looks a bit of a poor do, the prizefighter concept is a good...if the quality is there...looks like they're keeping the concept but lowering the quality.

Thankfully Steve avoided Cello until the final. G'wan Edey!

This whole evening has got GET UP AT 4AM SUNDAY written all over it.

I'm certain there will be an adequate stream available FOC for the Hatton fight, plus there will be a England vs India ODI on SS Xtra, live final round of the Hong Kong Golf on SS3 plus live A1 Grand Prix on SS1.

The whole has go to bed early, get up early written all over it.

Prizefighter is a good idea if the quality is there. However, by it's very nature it is designed for has beens, never were's, journeymen and unknowns. We were never going to get Barker, Elcock, McKay, McDermott, Bendall, Smith etc in this tournament.

if the money is right we could... could we?

The way they were drew were

Maxwell v Ede
Renda v Thornton
Samuels v Butler
Marshall v Rea.

I think thats the correct order.

Really? Crap. The draw I saw had Renda as the last of the 4 fights. Oh well.

I've seen his last two fights and he looks to be back to his best. He looks to have his edge back. IMO he is a dark horse to win this!!

I hope so. I really have no clue how it will turn out. Obviously the quality is lower than I'd hope for, but provided there are knockouts/knockdowns, it will be great entertainment. I'll be there to watch it live.

Bar Paul Samuels, the level of quality is lacking, and even Samuels is questionable these days as he's been so inactive and hasn't mixed in good company for some time.

But, in terms of excitement, I think this lot could surpass the Welterweights. Renda always comes to fight, is a good puncher at this level, but also vulnerable himself.

I think this time more so, the opportunity for a ready made British title challenger is there for the taking and should spur them on.

Murray looks good from the clips I have seen in the Manchester Fight night... my clear favourite. Think the 3 rounds pace will suit him. He reminds me of Jamie Moore in lots of respect, I think he is capable of mixing it with the likes of Paul Smith in the near future.

He does look decent and presumably will be banking on his youth and enthusiasm to come through.

Some of the more seasoned contestants might know how to handle him though (Ede, Thornton etc) at this stage of his career.

I hope Steve Ede comes good or at least gets some well deserved pay days from it. Lets hope he remembers some of the things I taught him in sparring all those years ago!

Just because the qualitys not as high doesn't mean it won't be entertaining. For me the winner could come from the fight between Renda and Thornton.

Ive already got my money on Paul Samuels. At those odds its got to be worth a punt. Despite his inactivity, hes got a great KO record, so he'll be going for the big hits in these 3 rounders.

Samuels had Darren Barker on the floor before he got KO'd straight after when he was waiting for the ref to count, bad call by the ref really, should have been a NC.
The standard is poor really and if the Welshman has half of his best form he should have a decent shout, and great value odds. He's coming off a 1st round KO too.
Can't believe he is still fighting really, we were both in the Welsh champs at 10st in 1993 I think

After Lomax winning the Welters at I think 20/1 I may have a punt on a few of these.

Lomax was 7/2 second favourite.
