I voted for Hatton but in all honesty i think its a 50/50 fight. If Mallinagi can box and move he has a chance then again if Hatton turn it into a brawl he should win. Might depend on who is reffing.

I've tipped Hatton, home crowd will get behind him, Mallignaggi poor performance and hair extensions left a bad taste.

hatton, decision,wide :box:

No way i would buy this fight, I have little to no interest in it. I hope it ends in a draw.

I agree, dont think Hatton is all that he is cracked up to be, career highlight a win over a very old Kostya tszyu.
Still think Mallignaggi will lose a decision to the home town boy, both are overated.

i agree with what u said, its a 50/50 fight, and alot will depend on how its refereed
if hatton gets the fight refereed the way he likes than he is going to be very hard to beat ,he might even stop malignaggi, i dont think either looked very good in their last fights, paulie had obvious reasons why, but i thought hatton looked absolutely terrible against lazcano, before that fight i would of had him a very, very firm favourite ,but if i had to lean one way, i think paulie can pull out the victory

Hatton (i hope). I hate Pauli, with his fake gangster personna. I think if Hatton tries to outbox him he will suffer. He needs to brawl and apply pressure. It will be the indicator to see if he has truly recovered from his PBF beating.

Malignaggi is overrated big time, if Hatton loses he should retire

Hatton has never lost to a super lightweight. His only loss was to Mayweather at welterweight. I think he will be too good for Malignaggi.

Hatton won in the 11th, Paullies corner threw in the towel. Hatton totally outclassed Paullie and i think Mayweather snr has been a big plus in his corner.

hatton looked really good, the agression was more controlled, punches were more accurate and there was far less holding. good performance and should put him back in contention for some big fights

Hatton really beat him up, He looked far better than Cotto did when he beat Malinaggi.

hatton looked better than he did against laczano, but he definitely gotta stay away from anyone with a decent punch
this fight was one of the ugliest and worst fights ive seen in a while
i dont know why i expected it to be better, but i did

how did u come up with that from this display...hatton was never wobbled by paulie once...................

kostya who has renowned power couldnt drop him either.

i could understand u making this post if hattons legs went after a flush shot from paulie but paulie NEVER had hatton in trouble.

i said that cos he still gets hit too often
everytime paulie threw a lefthook it landed, if there was a bit more power on it
he could of ko'd him in that first round

and u do realise the tszyu fight was a few years ago
hattons not the same fighter he was then, so u shouldnt use that as an example

if the left hooks that landed in that first round, were thrown by a fighter with a decent punch
it would of ended there

I think he was trying to say that if Malinaggi was a puncher he could have Ko'd him. I'm not sure I agree but I can see his point. Hatton does tend to eat a lot as he wades in and to be honest I didn't see that much of an improvement under Mayweather snr. I'm a big Ricky fan and he always gives it 100% but he is a bit crude and wide open at times. The Malinaggi fight was always going to be a walkover for Hatton as Paulie simply doesn't have the power needed to keep Ricky from coming forward.
