I still have a feeling about Winky Wright in Cardiff in June.

Chad Dawson... its as important as Kessler and Lacy.

Agreed, the only fights out there are Froch and Dawson for the purists.

Dawson probably the likeliest, he won't risk it v Froch and Carl is busy enough with Pascal and then Taylor (if he wins).

Wright would be a waste of time, he'd beaten Hopkins and Pavlik's been exposed.

PS It's the only realistic fight out there but not as important as Kessler IMO. Everyone was clamouring for that, and Lacy, whereas Dawson is yet to prove he's the real thing.

Still a test though.

I disagree - Dawson has beaten two of the top 5 Light Heavyweights, just like Kessler had done before. Also has at least another win against a top tenner.

Lacy's best win was against Rob Reid who was fringe top 10 at the time.... Froch is much like Lacy, how many top ten wins has he had.

Posters always have another fighter that Joe must face. Poor bloke will be fighting until he's a guest star of Last of the Summer Wine.

Kessler would KO glass jawed Dawson. Dawson struggled with Glen Johnson's slow workrate.

But his record has more holes in it, than Mel Gibson at the end of Lethal Weapon 2.

Joe makes no secret that money is top of his agenda so how anyone thinks he will box Winky Wright is crazy. Wright brings nothing to the table in respect of Calzaghe earning a career-high purse or an amount near that figure. Wright is not exactly a big draw & that's putting it politely!

Depending on the outcome of his bout with Pascal, I think Froch is the favourite to land a shot at Calzaghe. Carl has stated he will box Joe wherever, Cardiff is fine by him, so I think it will happen! Good fight for British boxing.

However, the issue of money is clearly the top of Joe's agenda so whatever fight permits to earn the most money he will take that route.

From a personal point of view, I'd like to see Calzaghe-Dawson. Chad is young, hungry, & has stated his desire to box Joe. I doubt it will happen though, because the figures won't be attractive enough to Joe.

Personally wouldn't blame him for retiring - he's had an amzing career and has proven he was the best at SMW. Would be a real achievement to reitre undefeated, as champ, as a boxer who won titles at two weights, but more importantly unified the SMW division by beating a two belt undefeated champ.

If he fights on...then great, but there are no names that would enhance his record. Why? Because he has proved he is the best and so every name looks questionable. I am now starting to think though that if he was too fight on it would be worth trying to unify the LHW division. That would be a worthy acheivement. I'd put my money on him doing it. Would there be many that bet against him?

What exactly do these titles(MBE, CBE etc.) that get thrown around actually mean?
