Anybody read it? I just started reading and it's pretty standard stuff. A solid throw-away Boxing biog.
Any thoughts?

No worries. Has it got any better? Just interested in what his book contains after that BBC documentary that started with them coming back from an alleged kidnapping.

I remember thinking his interview post-Audley was curious - he was talking loads about God and then in the next sentence about wanting a ruck in the pub. Odd.
Reading on the cover that it is about a '2 weight world champion' told me all I needed to know about the content. I have since had to revise my list of 'Top 10 World Heavyweight Champions'...

Of course Teddy is right about the content but it's interesting in a throaway read sort of way. He is just revelling in the fact that he was WBU super-cruiserweight champion
The whole book takes me back. Does anybody have a copy of the Negus-Audley bout on BBC? Or even Negus's earlier fights as he claims the Chris Henry bout (plus another one which I forget) was televised on Eurosport. I would like to see these after reading the book. Anybody own the above?

Aye he says it was Marc and had a tragic ending too (shortly before Spencer Oliver collapsed post-fight). I'm interested to see a couple of Negus bouts now after reading this book.

Yeah, I remember his interview with.. Mike Costello? post Audley, funny stuff.
Negus: I love it in there, I want to do it again, better than sex for me, lasts longer. I'm off to the pub now and maybe start a fight there!
Mike: You could try that headbutt again.

Nice bloke, Dominic. He used to box with my uncle at the Circus Tavern, seen him down Goresbrook and on the Telly doing security and that.

His fights against Harrison, Henry and Bruce Scott were on TV.

He was on TV last week. Danny Dyer does a programme called "Britains Deadliest Men" lol and this week it was about Negus.
It should be repeated this Sunday on Bravo at 10 oclock i think.

Sure i see him beaten on points by Karl Barwise on a TV documentry, think his father he recently passed away close to the fight, was an interesting Documentry.

I enjoyed the doc. Esp. when he was giving the guy a beating who ripped off his Dad who had just died. Didn't the guy say something like 'Your Dad gave me the money' and Dom replied 'He never fuckin gave me anything throughout my life so why the fornicate would he give you his cash, you robbed an old man' followed by a few slaps.
