I have been asked by someone if they know where former Vancouver Boxer Gordie Lawson is.
I first met Gordie in 1968 while a member of the Vancouver Firefighters Boxing Club.
Gordie participated in some Golden Gloves competition in the SeventiesI believe he had a number of pro fights including some in the Eighties.

Despite the passage of time, I would like to praise BOX REC
for the opportunity to serve s the message boy. In recent weeks,
the story about PACIFIC NORTHWEST BOXING has served as a Golden Key that has unlocked the door of the Lost Fighter.
Not in my wildest dreams did I expect that those two important words in the first line - KEY and GOLDEN would be symbolic of the important human interest story and the forum post would become the GOLDEN KEY that would unlock the door to reunite the LOST BOXER and the SEARCHER. I am so pleased to have been the MESSAGE BOY thanks to BOX REC. and despite a passage of time of over two years HOPE can be REALIZED when good people care about others.

in 1975 BC GOLDEN GLOVES - Gordie Lawson was the only boxer to score a clean knockout when his opponent was down for over a minute.
