Why does SBO coverage start so late?

The broadcast starts at 10pm according to sky listings. On the count down show they mentioned they are showing Khan, Enzo then going to Vegas.

Are they not showing Audley fight against Rogan live? It would be more Value for money if they started much earlier and least show some of the undercard fights.

I will be watching ITV 4/1 and give SBO a miss.

Yeah, that surprised me too. I would have thought that they would start the show a bit earlier. After all, there is .. or at least was (potentially)... a decent undercard. ITV 4 starts at 8.45 (I think), so people are going to tune into that in the first instance.

yep, sky boxing office UK bills haven't really been as they advertised in recent times. We were promised 5 titles fights on the Hatton vs Lazcano bill, we got 3 in full. We were promised a "good" undercard with top prospects for Khan vs Prescott - we didn't see any of it.

Thinking back to the original "Judgement Night" PPV back in 1996, I'm sure it kicked off at 8pm with Bingham v Winky Wright up first.

If Cook v Foster were still on this Saturday, and Banks was stil fighting Enzo, there would very good chance that the top 4 fights on the bill went the distance. No chance all fights could be on live with a 10pm start.

yep - and whats more I think that bill was FREE! It was the Tyson aspect that you paid for!

Definately for Judgement Night 2 - With Herbie vs Tucker as the main evnt.

i think sky realise that there is a big chance that the top 3 fights won't last all that long

With the original judgement night in 96 you got right til Moorer whacking Botha in the 12th before you had to pathetically give in and reach for the phone and order Tysons expected early blow out of Holyfield.

Really? I couldn't remember. Not a bad deal when you look at it, although no way could I have missed the great Evander trying his best against Tyson.

Does anyone recall the live weigh-in for the Manchester bill? I have this memory of Steve Collins instructing a taunting Naseem Hamed to "shut the fck up, roit?". It seemed to be taking place in a studio of some kind.

Yes, but wasn't there the threat that the screen COULD encrypt at anytime from the US bill. But the Collins vs Benn 2 bill was on Sky Sports.

You are correct sir. There was also the rsik that Reg Gutteridges mumbling commentary could send you off to sleep abruptly.
