That is the best name I have ever heard :D

And who'd have allegedly thought it, allegedly sports network allegedly not playing by the rules, allegedly.

Not that i'd imagine there is much truth to this.... but lets be honest, it's entirely plausable.

Allegedly, I'd take the word of a Mr Atomic Bunde over the alleged word of a Mr Warren any alleged day.

Well according to Boxrec, Otieno is a 5ft 7in Super Middleweight and Cleverley is a 6ft 1.5in Light Heavyweight. This doesn't sound like the matchmaking of good old allegedly

timebomb you should go thorough the British boxing board of control if you have a issue.

Well I don't know if the mods were planning to do some end of year awards.

Thread of the year has been won! I'm sorry for your problem time bomb, I'm sure it will be resolved - just tell your fighter not to step on the plane.

Actually, if you feel like you have been messed around, play the same game!

We've had "Amy Whinehouse" on boxrec - how about queen.

"Another bill bites the dust".

In all seriousness, if this is legit and there is a problem then obviously I am sad that maybe Cleverley (and the other fighters on the bill) might not be able to give their family a good christmas - but I cannot help but get to the stage where I am beyond p'd off.

:shame: Assuming that you have some connection to Sports Network, that really isn't a good thing to say. If there are legal issues I'm not sure that message boards are the right place to discuss them.

How can you justify giving this fella a shot?

To be fair, that is a question that should be directed at the sanctioning body, not the promotor.

Commonwealth title is a bit pointless really- all the bouts seem to be V unknowns .

This fella is hardly unknown! He has snuck into the top 250 at Super Middle!
On that basis he clearly deserves a shot at the Light Heavy Comm title

 Joking aside, he has only gone past 6 rounds once in his career, and FIVE of his wins have come against http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?hu ... &cat=boxer - Who has won 1 and lost 16 (including a challenge for the Kenyan middleweight title!)

In fairness this fella is probably getting paid a pittance with no chance of winning, the only people making money is SN. Of course the average fighter like me would kill for the same shot for the same money. However the likes of myself settled for my position in this murky business a long time ago.
To be fair boxing was still good to me and I look back with fond memoies.
Good luck to this kid, he'll need it
