Ryan Rhodes is due to defend his British title against Anthony Small at the Liverpool Echo arena. Quality! I'm looking forward to this. Both men are exciting to watch, both boxers are "characters" and above all its will be a well matched fight. I think Rhodes will win this.

Just checked out thier page- the arena holds 10 000, so I'm guessing that they have something in the pipline for the main event.... hayemaker in late March? What this space!

The Echo Arena Is only a 15 minute bikeride from my house, might go to this. Not been to a pro fight yet being a fan of 4 years and 4 months.

A bland building architectural wise but In an easy to get to the Echo Arena.

Is it confirmed for March 28? I gathered Rhodes' side won the purse bids, but didn't know whether it was a definite fight or not

Whose show is it? Can't see FW letting his fighter fight on a rivals bill

Small of course used to be trained by Haymaker Promotion's Adam Booth.......that could add a little bit of spice to the build up....Small may feel like he has a point to prove

I think it is a Hayemaker show. Given the size of the venue I think they will be gearing this up to feature David Haye, too.

Bunce mentioned Haye fighting in Liverpool in March yesterday and he said it depends on what happens with Wlad.

Think this could be a messy fight, not sure the styles will gel so i'll go with Rhodes on points

There have been a glut of purse bids recently and as has already been said, purse bids sorted doesn't mean the fight is on.
Rhodes will be fighting 28-03-09 at the Echo Arena Liverpool.
As for who's in the other corner we're going to have to wait and see.
Small is the mandatory, will get a good pay day, has been spouting off, and now gets his chance.
