Looks a good bill - three title fights and Sutherland's debut, looking forward to this.

WATSON/AMAR

Watson has some good skills and must start favourite over Amar for me, just wondering if the Hatton fight flattered him a little but he did the job really well so perhaps Hatton looked so bad because Craig made him look that way. Only seen one Amar fight so hard to gauge him, what do you guys think of him and this fight.

HUGHES/BOOTH

Hughes could win this if he does the weight ok, Booth has slowed in recent fights for me although still decent at this level, closeish fight.

MUNROE/TROTTA

Munroe will win its just a case of can he stop the Italian, heard from an Italian mate that the visitor has trained harder than ever and whilst they don't expect him to win they actually said to me they would be surprised if he got stopped.

Sutherland fight I hope goes 3 rounds or so just so he can showcase himself, really excited by him I think he could be anything and it will be hard to hold him back if he keeps blasting them out which I think he will do.

Interested to hear anything from you guys on the above fights

Sutherland's Opponent is a Bulgarian, won 1 lost 4, who seems likely to be stopped. Will be good to see Sutherland's debut, but can't see this being much different from (for example) the recent Tyson Fury debut.

But yeah, it does look like a good bill, mostly English fighters.

think hughes will win on points. only seen amar once when he beat lyod but think watson will be able to force a stoppage and munroe wins on points. this show could of been a lot bigger if maloney would let him fight dunne, sutherland 4 round ko

Amar's tallish and rangey, very fluid unorthodox mover-boxer, typical Ingle stylistic traits really. question marks, IMO over his fitness (fading late in fights), hasn't got pure punch power or an iron chin (got starched by the poor man's Mutley, Dean Hickman, who can punch for sure but is no... well he's no Young Mutley, classwise and all...)

he may be a slightly better mover than Watson but that's the only advantage I'd give him and would expect Watson to have both worked him out and closed the distance by the mid-rounds. watson wins clear U/D for me maybe late stoppage if it's a fast pace (Amar doesn't seem to want to fight at pace)

had it on good info that hughes will make the weight comfortably and is feeling realy strong at it

Gary O'Sullivan is off the bill due to work commitments unfortunately. I was looking forward to seeing him impress again on a big show. Keep an eye over at BBN for more big fight build-up.

Its a massive shame the venue is mile out of the way from me because I would have gone because it is a really good card

hmm, that's a real shame cause I've got a ticket for this and was impressed by O'Sullivan in the past.
I'm not sure what level he'll reach but he's such an aggressive fighter with good power, which leads to plenty of excitement.

What does O'Sullivan work at btw ?

Pitty he was looking forward to this, Looks Strong for the weight was training and watching him Spar last week..

Sorry lads not sure on the O'Sullivan thing, I rang Paschal Collins to get a word with Gary and this is when I was told. He is getting a run out soon though and I am really excited about seeing him progress myself as he always comes in in great shape and clearly punches like a mule.

Jamie Moore is off as well - doesn't want to risk getting injured before his Euro title tilt in March, which after everything that has happened, I can fully understand.

Its a shame, Moore is off I would have love to have seen him punch my least favourite British fighter around the ring for 6 rounds but I still hope Gary Woolcombe loses

5/6 the pair the bookies can't split them. I fancy Booth but Hughes might be that bit stronger.

Irish puncher Darren Sutherland makes his much-awaited pro debut tonight in his home city of Dublin as part of a fantastic triple title fight bill.
Sutherland was outscored by British hope James DeGale in the middleweight semi-finals of the Olympics earlier this year (10-3). He had licked DeGale aplenty in previous meetings between them and may have the more professional style than the Londoner, one of those 'should have been drowned at birth' southpaws, or certainly James was in the Olympic final.
Anyway, Sutherland steals a march on DeGale by going pro before him, with promoter Frank Maloney, a man who knows how to build an Olympic prospect. This is not quite "Be in at The Beginning" and Lennox Lewis, but Sutherland looks ready to roll at 26 and ready to roll in a country that will back him hard.

Should be a cracking bill. Another title tilt for Gary Woolcombe, who is an extremely well managed fighter. Amazing what good looks and a strong following can bring you

It doesn't matter that he could only muster a bronze compared to Chunky Degale's gold; Sutherland looks a menacing pro prospect.
