Last I heard he was in prison for beating up his wife back in 2000. But looking through the prison inmate finder search, I cant find him one iota. Where did Dokes end up? Is he even still alive? Is he still in prison somewhere? Does anybody have the answers?

Still inside I believe. He had some time added on for beating someone up in there.

At which prison though? Thats what I am confused about.

From an article I looked into, I never knew Dokes was going into professional wrestling. I guess he was gonna go under the gimmick of "The Player", for some indy circuit down south, but then he got arrested and sent to prison. The prison he was at, evidentially had him moved elsewhere, because he's no longer under the search there.

He was in the Nevada prison system, same as Ibeabuchi. From checking their inmate page, it seems that Dokes/Doakes has been released. His last name is apparently Doakes.

Wonder what he could be doing now?

Michael was released in November and is back out in Las Vegas.

Does he have money? Family? I cant imagine how he'd be living out in Vegas, a place like that would seem to hold all manner of bad influences.

he told me he planned on going back to Akron. He has family and friends there. The guy just got out I'm sure he has alot on his mind and has to figure out his path in life now. Maybe he'll be back in the seniors tourney.

Yes Mike's family is still here, and he probably does still have a large number of friends remaining as well. I always felt that Mike's career and life could have been a lot better had he remained in the area. Of course, he had quite a few distractions in Akron as well, so maybe it really wouldn't have mattered that much.

And his defeat to Ruddock was one of the sickest KOs you could wish to see.

I'm glad he's out, and hopefully, he can get his life together. I remember reading somewhere, that he was up for parole this year, and it's good he's out.

Great news he's out. He was really unlucky to go down for attempted murder for beating some hoe with his fists. The district attorneys office argued his fists amounted to lethal weapons capable of murder in the same way as a gun....say that could be a good wrestling gimmick.
