some views on the haye / vitally fight being banded around as though they are as irrefutable as the laws of nature, what i want to know is; are they?

ive heard and read alot about how invulnerable vitally is and how fragile haye is.

first off haye, we know he's chinny but just how bad exactly? we know its bad enough for vitally to knock him out but what kinda shot does he do it with? the way some people go on its as if a solid jab would put him down and make him see singing cartoon birds. realistically though, what does he do to put him down? does he just half clip him when haye slips a big right cross? is it that bad?

we know haye has stamina problems at cruiser but how much did that affect his chin? i remember him against odlanier solis [what happened to him btw] at the amateurs and frankly i thought he was out on his feet just from exhuastion.

on to klitschko, ill be honest ive only seen him against lewis and thought he was lucky the ref didnt let him take anymore clean shots, though i wouldnt disagree with anyone who says he deserved another round at least. he looked exhausted aswell and what about his opponents? has he met the sort of quality that would actually test his chin?

your thoughts appreciated, im a littlle clueless on this.

I love David to pieces but I feel if Vitali lands flush then David will go down, and maybe stay down. I am though, convinced that Haye can avoid Vitali's big right and land his own bombs on the robotic Ukrainian. Regarding what you asked about Haye's chin in general - I do feel he's quite chinny, especially after seeing him put down badly against Mock and Mormeck, both of whom aren't noted for being massive punchers, and where both knockdowns took place under the 200lbs limit. It's a worry, yes, but I honestly feel that David will be able to avoid Klitschko's punchers if he sticks, and this is important, to a game-plan of not getting involved with Vitali unless he knows he can land and get out of trouble, thus using his speed advantage - remember, speed kills.

Haye KO for me in four rounds.

Also, I wouldn't really question David's stamina too much. Yes, he did get beat off Solis and Thompson by not having enough energy, but David is a very different fighter to the one he was back then - he's more dedicated and a lot less of a playboy.

I don`t think Haye was put down badly against Mormeck. More of a glancing blow that caught him off balance. Admittedly his legs went, but his head was clear. It had no lasting effect on him.

Vitali punches a hell of a lot harder than Mormeck and his power will rock Haye to his boots IF he cathces him clean. Haye`s problem could be that he goes all out in the first few rounds to knock Vitali out, find that his bombs don`t really trouble Vitali and then he runs out of steam. There is no way I can see Haye outpointing Vitali.

Haye`s speed will be the key here, hitting him with shots he cannot see. Lewis caught him flush a couple of times and he took them. No doubt that lewis had more power than Haye has, but he did not have the speed of Haye.

Should be a cracker.

I think David was put down badly against Mormeck - it was much like the Mock knockdown, were he was caught on the temple and his equilibrium went. It's not a good sign, but like you say, his speed will be key here - just lets hope he uses it correctly.

Haye should have gone for the other titles first, not staright for the Vitali.

I think Haye should have tested himself against another eastern european style contender first, but "going straight in" is Haye's style all over. He's just into the SN path and that's why David is getting the headlines and SN are firmly in the shade.
