It seems to be looking more and more likely, according to reports that Oscar will "finish" his career in a massive stadium fight, but not against Ricky - but against Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr. Aztec Stadium (capacity = approx 100,000) is the likely venue, again first weekend in May likely date.

Sounding increasingly likely that Hatton vs Pacquiao will also happen in may. Hatton's wish was to get the winner of the December fight.

I think at this stage of DLH's career, Chavez Jnr could pose a test. If it was weight and not age that was the result of the tank being empty in December, then of course he should smash Chavez Jnr - if its just "not there" regardless of weight, then I expect Chavez Jnr to win.

Pacqauio and Hatton will be something else.

The original rumour for the Hatton fight was May 2, but it's now looking likely to be the DLH fight to coincide with Cinco de Mayo. I think Oscar will beat Jr.

Hopefully the Hatton fight will be another weekend in May so I can go.

If the plan is for Hatton v Pac to be HBO ppv I don't even reckon it'll be the same month as Oscar v baby Chavez. That'll definitely be ppv and the HBO won't do them too close.

Perhaps Hatton for June and Margarito-Cotto rematch for July as their summer ppvs.

Cotto v Marge 2 is already June 13th at MSG, provided both win of course, to coincide with the PR day parade weekend. Perhaps they can sneak one in between like they did with November this year.

Emerson, how sure are you about that happening? It makes massive sense with the two being with Top Rank, and with their first fight being so eagerly anticipated and it being an unbelievable event. I just want to wait for it to be confirmed first before I get excited.

No way a Hatton fight with DLH in the UK would be worth 20-30m for Hatton if he loses to Pacman - no way.

Pacman is the only fight they should be looking at right now - the little fellar is red hot after his DLH win and Hatton's natural edge in size gives him a decent chance of winning the fight (unlike a rematch no one really wants to see with PBF).

It is a fight that will excite alot of people I reckon.

Hatton should be willing to even take the short end of the money if it means getting Pacman in the ring; the upside of potentially winning that fight is too great to give up.

DLH in Vegas for large coin (although 20-30m would STILL be too high a valuation even with a Pacman win under Hatton's belt IMO)..

Terry maybe 20-30 million is a tadge too high - but only slightly!!!

Are you stupid? Hatton-Pacquiao has the potential to be an all time classic war. It will certainly be a better fight than Mayweather against either of them.

de la hoya sold him self against pac man. just as jorge paez did against oscar. he Oscar, is on his way out so chavez jr. has to win.I see oscar selling him self and again taking a beating and not even try to beat chavez jr. as he did against pac man chavez jr will win..... but we know that if oscar comes to fight he can with no doubt beat chavez Jr.

Provided both come through Feb and Jan, it will definitely happen. They're also trying to get Juan Ma v Vasquez as the chief support (yep, you read that right). No idea on Pacman v Hatton date now. Manny is still celebrating his bday, so apparently we'll know more in Jan.

I cannot see DLH sacrificing himself for a fighter he will at best co-promote (Chavez Jnr).

What other options does he have? From a marketing perspective it's a very good idea, and his stock has never been so low. Get a win against Jr and he will probably get a 154 title shot.

I think he beats Junior quite well - I have not once been impressed with him, not even once.

Me neither, Vanda 1 should've been a loss. His Brother looks okay, might be worth a watch.

I only saw Omar on the undercard of Chavez/Celaya and he blew someone away. Looked decent doing it too.

Yep, I agree - I cannot see him going out there to lose though, all I was saying. I think Jnr is somewhere in the top 20 and I think an impressive win could drum up some geniune interest at a 154 belt (win for DLH I mean).

As for Chavez Jnr - I think he he is decent, not outstanding but I think isn't bad. He looked impressive in the Vanda rematch, so much so that I believe he was sick in fight 1.
