Ingemar over George Chuvalo.
Archie Moore was the best of them all, not sure he could win all the rounds
Likely would drop a decision to George Chuvalo after defeating
Jim Flynn and Bert Cooper.
The only real basis of Chuvalo defeating Moore. Is based on the Moore vs Durelle fights.
Durelle almost beat Moore, and Chuvalo is better than Durelle. But, with Archie's years of experience he could outfox them all except Johannsson

Stage One Resulsts.....
George Chuvalo Vs Duane Bobick
The fight starts off with both men going after the other, neither backing
up. It is Chuvalo with brutal hooks and uppercuts on the inside that
slowly wear Bobick down. The third round see's Bobick boxing well, and
keeping Chuvalo at the end of his jab and left hook. The fourth opens
with Chuvalo crunching Bobick to the mat, getting to his feet Bobick is
sent down again. The ref stops the fight.
Chuvalo TKO 4.
Fred Fulton vs Ike Ibeabuchi
Fulton looks awkard as he tries to tie Ike up, both men trade at a distance
with Ike landing the more solid blows. Fulton throws wide and wild shots
only to clinch from them once they have landed, Ike does his best to muscle
his way out. A shard right hand catches Fulton on his way in and sends him
to the mat.
Ibeabuchi KO2.
Archie Moore Vs Jim Flynn
Moore is all over Flynn, landing savage body blows to be followed up with
telling uppercuts and hooks. Flynn looks to counter but is caught by a
savage flurry from Moore. Flynn is sent down at 55seconds of the opening
round. He is back up only to be trapped on the ropes by Moore.
Moore TKO 1.
Bert Cooper vs Alex Stewart
Cooper starts the fight smoking and wades in past Stewarts stiff jab. He goes hard
and fast landing solid body blows and a head shot that backs Stewart up.
The second round see's Cooper chasing his man down, looking for the early KO.
In round three Stewart fights back and sends Cooper to the canvas with a left hook
right uppercut combination, Cooper comes back fighting, rocking Stewart with
an uppercut and hook of his own.
The next two rounds slow up with both men trading at a distance and clinching
as they regain some stamina. The next two rounds, see's Stewart take the lead as
he boxes his way into power shots, setting a slowing Cooper up with hard right hands.
Cooper swallows a nasty cross that puts him on his back to be counted out.
Stewart KO 7.
Buddy Baer Vs Ingemar Johannson
Johannson manages to land his heavy right hand half way through the first sending
Baer down. The remainder of the round ends with Baer holding on, regardless of
warnings from the ref.
Johannson patiently looks to set up his right hand as Baer sends a light jab into the
Swede who seems to parry it easily. The fourth and fifth rounds see's Baer opening up
thumping hooking combinations into Ingo that back him up and wobble him to the
point that he is forced to clinch. In the seventh Ingo lands that hard right hand that
puts Baer down for the count.
Johannson KO7
Henry Cooper Vs Mike Weaver
Both men cautiously box one another with Weaver being able smother Cooper with
solid combinations that forces the Briton to play counter fighter. Round two opens
up with Cooper landing his left hook several times, but not solid enough to keep
Weaver from chasing him down. A cut opens on Coopers brow after Weaver managed
to land blasting hooks that seemed to do little except tear flesh. The cut is that bad
by the start of he fourth round Cooper is forced by the Dr and Ref not to continue.
Weaver TKO 4.
Bob Satterfield Vs Ray Mercer
Satterfield starts the fight like a fistic cyclone as he throws everything into his punches
that land solid and hard onto the anvil head of Mercer. Setting this pace for the first
four rounds, Satterfield is all over Mercer who lands his hard jab and counters well with
a hard right hand. Round five see's Mercer stun Satterfield with a cross, who now looks
to box and keep Mercer away but is unable to do this as Mercer chases after him, all but
finishing Satterfield as he is trapped on the ropes just as the bell sounds.
Round six see's a cautious and tired Mercer let Satterfield off the hook as both men trade
on flat feet. Round seven opens with a rejuvinated Mercer leap into his hooks as he
hurts and drops Satterfield, who slowly gets back to his feet, with too much time left in the
round Mercer hunts him down and bangs too many shots un answered, the Ref is forced
to step in.
Mercer TKO 7.
Gerrie Coetzee Vs Leotis Martin
The fight starts well for Coetzee who stalks and power boxes an intial points lead.
Martin slowly counters well and lands more and more from the fifth round onwards
the later rounds slow up with Martin taking the lead and out boxing the hard
hitting Coetzee who still manages to swat his right hand home, though just not
enough.
Martin UD 10.

My stage 2 and 3 finals.
George Chuvalo (213lb) Vs Ike Ibeabuchi (240lb)
ibeabuchi pounds a brave Chuvalo for 10 rounds and posts a shutout. But never does Chuvalo look like going down.
Archie Moore (180lb) Vs Alex Stewart (218lb)
The old man is floored early in the second, but tightens up and outpoints a bigger but tiring and young opponent in Stewart with combinatinons and cross arm defence. MOORE W10
Ingemar Johansson (201lb) Vs Mike Weaver (200lb)
Johannson tries to knock Weaver out early but in a shocking developement in round 3, Weaver knocks Johansson cold with a huge right hand. WEAVER KO 3
Ray Mercer (222lb) Vs Leotis Martin (199lb)
Mercer sets a fast pace early which Martin endures, by round 6 Mercer is a little spent, however he gets his second wind in rounds 8-10 and wins on points with constant pressure. MERCER W10
Semi Finals
Ike Ibeabuchi (240lb) V Archie Moore (180lb)
Ibeabuchi only knows one way to fight and Moore needs all his defensive acumen and experience to keep the firebrand honest. Its a real pier 6 brawl with Archie showing off tremendous slipping and counterpunching. Moore takes it MOORE W10
Mike Weaver (200lb) Vs Ray Mercer (222lb)
Boring fight Mercer does enough. MERCER W10
Final
Archie Moore (180lb) V Ray Mercer (222lb)
Mercer doesnt show up and is listless and lets Moore outpoint him MOORE W10
WINNER- Archie Moore.

George Chuvalo Vs Alex Stewart 12 rounds.
Chuvalo looks for the KO early, and finds Stewart in fron of him. Unable
to put Stewart away, Chuvalo begins to catch some heavy bombs from
Stewart who is able to land on the anvil like jaw of Chuvalo.
After the sixth round Stewart looks to clinch as much as he can to save
his stamina, Chuvalo manages to maul on the inside as Stewart reverts
to throwing a heavy jab and single blows.
The later rounds see's both men trade and then clinch. A grueling fight
with a lot of inside work.
Chuvalo MD 12.
Ike Ibeabuchi Vs Ingemar Johansson
Ingo starts from a crouch, staying low doing his best to work from behind
his jab to set up his right hand. Ike's left causes problems for Ingo early
on. In the second round, Ingo lands a right hand that stops Ike in his track's
but does not prevent Ike from landing heavy and damaging blows through
the Sweede's defences.
Ingo is floored from a flush one two combination in the fifth and there onwards
is on the back foot. A barrage of blows in the sixth see's the ref stepping in
to protect Ingo. A game and gallant Ingo was out gunned, but not completly
out classed by the bigger Ike.
RIP Ingo...
Ibeabuchi TKO 6.
Archie Moore Vs Mike Weaver
Weaver is on the hunt early and stuggles to land cleanly on the crafty Moore
who fights from inside of a shell. Giving up the early rounds, Moore is able to
set up a long term game of counter. Fighting from the ropes in the middle
rounds he is more and more effective with his right and uppercuts at the
hard hitting and aggressive Weaver.
Weaver is able to land several telling shots that stun Moore at times, slowing up
Weaver gives Moore the lead. An exciting back and forth fight in the later rounds
that see's Weaver's power matched against moore's skills, counters and stamina.
Moore SD 12.
Ray Mercer Vs Leotis Martin
Martin is able to establish the lead in the opening rounds, with Mercer following
him around the ring, catching blows and returning a few. In the 3rd Mercer is
able to land some hard combinations that rattle Martin.
Martin's accurate and hard punches are unable to keep Mercer from getting
close and landing short, but hard hooks. The fight evens up as both men
trade hard. Martin getting the worse of the exciting exchanges.
In the ninth Martin is dropped with a savage right upper cut that lifts his head
followed by a left hook that finishes the job. He can not beat the count.
Mercer KO 9.
Fight of the series.... Ray Mercer KO9 Leotis Martin

Stage Three matches
12 rounds, no 3 knock downs.
George Chuvalo (213lbs) Vs Ray Mercer (223lbs)
Archie Moore (180lbs) Vs Ike Ibeabuchi (245lbs)

by Goodnight, Irene
Mercer fades late after out-muscling the smaller Chuvalo in the early going. Mercer winds up with a SD. He really oughtta consider getting into better shape.
Moore survives a knockdown to subdue Ibeabuchi's often phenomenal punch output with a defensive sleight of hand the big Nigerian struggles to get to grips with. Moore UD12.

Moore survives a few troubling moments to completly box the crap out of Ibeabuchi.
Moore UD
Chuvalo could basically do everything Mercer did but with much greater stamina and better bodywork. Chuvalo is also stronger than the Marine who at 27 was fighting at 200 (when he was actually in shape) to win the HW Gold in Seoul. Chuvalo by a clear UD.

George Chuvalo Vs Ray Mercer
Both men go toe to toe in the centre of the ring, low blows and
hard hooks to the back of the neck are the order of the day from
Chuvalo, as Mercer starts to reply in kind.
Both men start to work the body hard after the 3rd round, many
shots banging onto the cup. Mercer is unable to maintain the
pace and starts to load up more and more on his shots after the
8th round. Heavy, clean shots land on both men's body and heads,
yet neither man shows signs of damage.
The last two rounds, see's Mercer attempt a rally, while Chuvalo
continues strong.
Chuvalo UD 12.
Archie Moore Vs Ike Ibeabuchi
Ike comes out strong looking to stalk down his prey, hard shots barely land
on Moore as he rolls and covers up well. making Ike miss many shots, those
that do land, hit hard. The 2nd and 3rd rounds see's Moore slowly work
his counter fighting, fighting from his shoulders and off the ropes, the much
bigger Ike smothers him and bangs his body and back savagely.
The 4th round see's Moore land some quick and accurate counter right hands
that do little to rock Ike, but they score effectively.
The 5th round has Moore try to mix it up with Ike, he finds that he is able to
land easily on the big man. Ike catches an open Moore with a left hook that
twist's the Moongooses head. Moore goes down, but is up again at the count
of seven.
On wobbly legs Moore tries to cover and survive tha barrage, but a series of
shots get through and put him down again. Moore is counted out.
Ike is too big and powerful for the talented and brave Moore.
Ibeabuchi KO 5.
Ike Ibeabuchi (247lbs) Vs George Chuvalo (218lbs) 15 rounds.
Ike begins the round behind his jab, and starts to find Chuvalo's chin.
Chuvalo absorbs hard and savage shots from the outside, but is unable
to work his way on the inside.
The second and third finds Chuvalo making his way inside, where his
hard body shots set up some effective hooks up top. On the inside and up
close, Chuvalo is able to manhandle the bigger Ibeabuchi.
Heavy body blows and accurate head shots are taking their toll on Ibeabuchi
who has slowed up and is looking for the big and wild ko punch.
The fifth round starts with a motivated Ibeabuchi chasing after Chuvalo who
is playing counter fighter. Into the sixth round after eating a massive cross,
Chuvalo returns fire with a left hook of his own that lands clean. Flooring Ibeabuchi.
Ike stays down, up on his knee at seven, he stays there.
Chuvalo KO 6
