My picks for this year. From my 2007 list, precisely none happened. In 2008, one of the ten did (Haye-Maccarinelli). How many of these will come to be? And any other fights you'd like to see this year?

Well Cook v Mitchell ain't happening that's for sure. The time for Witter v Hatton has passed unfortunately and can't see Froch getting the call if Joe decides for one last fight. Would rather see Brook against Anderson. Still don't rate Lomax and think he falls short at British title level.

Would also like to see Macklin v Barker and am looking forward to Lindsey v Appleby

I know everybody's saying Cook-Mitchell won't happen because they have the same trainer, but since when has training one boxer been a job for life? I'm sure Mitchell would consider switching trainer - even if only for one fight - if a world title opportunity was at stake.

Agree the time fot Hatton-Witter has passed but I'd still like to see it for old time's sake. I don't want it to go the way of Hoko-McMillan, Benn-Graham etc... but it probably will.

I thought it was more to do with the fact that Cook and Mitchell are good friends and Cook's Dad works with Mitchell (is he the trainer?)

There are many examples of friends boxing over the years, although admittedly not everybody would be able to do it.

Haye v Skelton (IF big fights fall through, easy win for Haye to become two weight EBU champ and could become mandatory with WBC)

Agree Skelton would be a very good test for Haye. Big, strong, durable.

I was thinking Haye Skelton as well would be a very challenging fight for Haye and go a long way to proving he is class at the weight if he could be first to KO Skelton.
