Buncey seemed to hint that the Olympians (Degale and co) TV appearance is open to any channel and his body language suggested that they will probably appear on Setanta show on February 28th. Someone told me last week that the three Olympians will be appearing on Setanta but i didn’t believe them until i saw Bunce boxing hour today. If this is true Sky must be pissed. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

I heard it was on Setanta, in replacement for the deal he dumped last year

It be interesting to see that mean that wont be fighting on Khan bills with Enzo and co?

I think the plan was for them to box 6-8 times over 2 years all on the same show

I've been told that they will fight under the SN banner, not FW.tv.

Very strange having fights on both channels. Does not make sense really. I wonder what will be official reason be interesting to see.

Well aren't Setanta in the process of going toe to toe with Warrén in a potentially very costly legal battle.

Maybe Warrén isn't so confident about a legal victory and can see a way to get back into Setanta's good books with this agreement.

As for SKY, they where so desperate to get Khan on board that they deserve everything they get.

Is this the same show as the Birmingam show mentioned in another thread (same date), or do you mean there will be different shows running on the same night?

This news has to really piss off the boys at Sky - Warren is trying to play all sides. Hopefully this will result in Sky insisting on better quality matches from FW although I am not even sure they know the diff between a good quality fight and the nonsense that Frank often palms off on them..

Dont think he has enough fighter for two channels. It be interesting to see what happens I am surprised Setanta would want him back they bought the german and usa fights is there room for Warren.

Warren has PPV quality fighters on board now like Khan, Maccarinelli and Cook. Why bother with Setanta?

What it should mean is that a lot of his fighters who suffer from not getting much work, fight more and get moved up the ladder quicker, rather than just boxing 4 times a year against David Kehoe/Peter Buckley types.

None of the above fighters are PPV quality yet.

Wazza has cleverly split his stable between Sports Network and allegedly I believe.
The respective deals with Setanta and Sky are split similarly.
The crux of the legal argument is that Setants believed the whole of his stable were governed by the agreement.
The crux of Wazza's argument is that he believed his agreement with Setanta gave him exclusivity - then they signed up with Hayemaker.
As is usual with affairs of this nature the rights and wrongs pale into insignificance when compared to mounting costs.
Don't rule out that the Olympians on Setanta is an out of Court settlement to appease.
Might be completely left field, but just my take on the situation.
Sky deserve all they get.

I've just been told by a reliable source that the Olympians are definitely on the 28/02 show - which is Sky.
There seem to be a few rumours moving around so probably best to sit back and wait for a formal announcement.

Well Khan was IBF Intercontinental champion who unluckily lost to Prescott. Macarinelli is former WBU and WBO Cruiserweight champion while Cook is also a current WBO champion. So my £15 PPV fee is safe come fight night.

Warren plans to announce opponents for his three Olympians next week, and also said that he is in negotiations with three television companies about securing rights to the shows.

So sky get Khan and co. Setanta get olympians and few others. Its seems a bit of a shambles, this is obviously to avoid his contract fallout.

The problem with the olympian shows all the money will go on them so the rest of card wont be too good. The Birmingham show wont be the same come fight night!!
