it would be a massive upset to see Mundine get beaten. Mundine UD. His KO power seems to have left him the moment the words "middleweight" passed his lips.

If Mundine can't get an early stoppage he needs to retire, this fight is a farce

Mundine KO 7th, Taylor feels 44 around this time of the fight, and doesn't get of his stool.

It should all be over well before the 6th round, unless Daman decides to carry Shannon. Shannon is way past his prime and struggled in his last fights. A heavy defeat should put him into retirement, unless he wants to become a human punching bag for up and coming fighters.

probably a good option for him
Did it ever get established if he took up the 'payment by tickets' option for this fight? if not how much is he going to get...Taylor that is?

I would like to think this would be competetive, but not a chance. Even with depeleted power and getting tagged more than he'd like, Choc wins this fight whenever he wants to. Shannon has no chin left, and no power, especially after the 5th rnd.
Choc TKO 6. But I will be hoping for a miracle !!

The thing that s#$@! me about this fights is that 5 years back it would have been very competitive, Taylor now is a faded version of what he once was. Hopefully Taylor can turn back the clock for one last time but i suspect he will be finished early.

mundine has only stopped one of his last 6 opponents. as he has dropped weight he has lost power, so its all gonna depend on which shannan taylor turns up. apparently taylor is getting paid pittance for this fight so hes obviously doing it for more than just money.

If Choc can't KO Taylor his decision to drop to middleweight is going to look silly.

Only his last fight was near the Middleweight limit, so it's not apparent as a weight issue.

Even in his prime, Taylor would have been no match for Mundine. Past his prime, he's looking at an early KO defeat.

In his prime Taylor was a Welterweight. He was a vicious puncher and great boxer. He didnt get a shot at a belt and ended up waiting far to long before meeting Sugar Shane. If they were both Middles and in there prime i would give Taylor a 50/50 chance.

Weight differences aside, I don't think Taylor was world class in his prime. Very good, sure, but not world class. Mundine is world class or at least was in the recent past. Prime for prime, pound for pounds, I'd make Mundine 70-30 favourite at least. Today it's 90-10 or more.

Shannon was never the most "stable" of people. That is what really has/does let him down.

Taylor HAS to come out swinging and at leeast go down fighting.last chance in the spotlight. rather see him go down fighting than capitulate in meek fashion. if he comes out trying to box and box only he will be disgraced.
certainly i feel that mental factors hampered his career (and the drugs) but physically he was a good fighter and world class IMO(but below THE CHAMP material).
heres hoping at least some of the fight is competitive. cant see too be honest Choc carrying Taylor like he did Nader.

but he went the distance with abraham a couple of years ago,i mean do people think mundine hits harder than abraham or something
id love to see mundine ko him early, but i wont consider it a failure at all if he doesnt
i predict a mundine tko 9

It's all about styles. According to reports, Taylor was running from Abraham the whole fight. Will Taylor just want to survive against Mundine?

i think taylor could surprise people with hes performance here, especially the early rounds
hes gonna be up for this fight like no other before , it really is the end of the line for him here and he will give everything hes got
i'd say hes gonna make it as rough and tough and dirty fight as possible, mundines never liked those sorts of fights, can see taylor even winning a couple of rounds on activity alone, but ultimately getting stopped late, with mundine just being too sharp and a class above
mundine ko10
