This is a difficult question because most of Duran's challengers soon went into reverse gear and sought to survive - even Esteban DeJesus, after an exciting start in the second of their three meetings.
Hector Thompson did grit his teeth and meet fire with fire, though, until he was knocked out.

I'd say maybe Viruet, if only because he made Duran work the full 15 rounds.

But all of his lightweight challengers were eventually shut down and beaten very decisively.

Im a bit biased but Hector Thompson went down swinging. He went toe to toe and put up one hell of a fight.
