Er, it lasted 180 seconds. Lloyd pulled out at the end of round one. He'd been down twice & nearly broke in half by bodyshots.

He was lucky he got cut that night. Glyn Leach described is as being "like watching a toddler walk into a threshing machine"....

One of those lines that has stuck with me ever since.

Just shows how the memory plays tricks.
Well it was 10 years ago - and I'm now over 50.
Since I posted I've just got the prog out.

The £100-£150 tickets will probably get you a lower-tier seat, which will give a good view. Next best will be the ground floor seats ( behind ringside ) these will be level floor, so if you don't mind punters up and down all night, these are the ones.

Ringside will be chokka with Coronation St persons and other people who happen to be on telly a lot...oh and Amir's family.

If you're planning on going, don't get floor seats. Out of all the times i've visited the MEN, the best seats are Lower Tier

Hope this isn't too expensive, I'd like to go, but it's an expensive proposition for me, travelling to and from Manchester, accomodation for a night, and 150 quid on a ticket - could probably get a package holiday for the same money.

I was there. Bumped into Barrera in McDonalds in Victoria Street afterwards.

The best seats for any venue imo is lower tier.

It's the Herol Graham of seating areas.

That`s it sorted then, flights booked and the best lower tier tickets is the go.

£75 is upper lower tier. £100 is lower lower tier.

Yeah I have used them before.

£40 isn't too bad. I had the misfortune to pay that to see Ricky Burns and a procession of home wins at the York Hall. Can't remember the promoter......
