Dolan does look talented. I thought it was a shame that his last fight wasn't shown on Sky.

Hope he wins the British title.

Who knows, maybe he can build up to a fight with Enzo Mac, just as Rogan did with Audley.

Long-time amateur star David Dolan takes the plunge as a pro when he challenges Rob Norton for the British cruiserweight title in Birmingham on February 6.
Dolan, 29, won three ABA heavyweight titles and gold at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester (among other feats) but his pro career has failed to ignite so far and he was floored twice and outscored by big Belfast brawler Martin Rogan in the three-round heavyweight final of Prizefighter last year at York Hall, a galling experience for a man who once excelled over the shorter distances. Dolan was also hurt by burly Welshman Darren Morgan in a previous three-rounder in the event.
The Sunderland stylist simply proved too small and made the sensible decision to drop down to cruiserweight afterwards and has won two out of two since to take his record to 11-1 (4). At his best Dolan is a fine boxer with all the shots, all the moves, but 36-year-old Norton, a slick, unorthodox, stiff-hitting southpaw from nearby Stourbridge, waited for years to lift the famed Lonsdale Belt and will not let go of it lightly, especially on his own patch.
Norton, 30-4-1 (19), turned pro back in 1993, went to war with Mark Hobson in a first crack at the title 10 years later (he was outpointed) and finally came good against Londoner Micky Steeds on a unanimous decision last year for the vacant title.
Much to Dolan's disgust, no doubt, Norton is one of those 'big' cruiserweights.
This one could go either way but Dolan may have the skill and the consistency to edge out the canny, punch-picking champion.

i think dolan has the ring savvy to beat norton, but its an interesting match up.
