Hi

Just letting those interested know that my next fight will be on the 6th March on the Jamie Moore vs Michele Piccirillo Bill. Its in Robin Park, Wigan. My opponent is yet to be announced. At this stage of my career, its all about gaining experience and learning the professional game but I'll fight who ever they put in front of me.

It was a great experience making my pro debut in Dublin at my University and the response I received from the crowd was Amazing!! There was a lot pressure and on me to put on a good performance, especially with all the press I had been given in Ireland. I was happy with how i handled the occasion considering all the hype although there will always be things to improve on. I could of done with a few more rounds in order to settle properly as i was bit anxious in the first round and took some silly Jabs. I normally am a lot more mobile. But I intend to improve in each fight and think i will be more relaxed now the first one is out the way. Also boxing in the uk on Jamies undercard will help as the fans will mainly be there to see him and I can just go about my business.

I had a nice break at xmas as it was my first holiday in yrs. I didnt take a proper break after the Olympics as i wanted to get my Pro career up an running asap.. I returned to training in london on 12th Jan and now into my second wk of preparation.. So far I am really enjoying the whole experience and feel more comfortable as a professional.

Im looking forward to my next fight and hope the Irish and Uk fans get behind me..

I requested that i wanted to start on 6 rounders so that will be the least that one of my fights will be scheduled for.. Also i asked for a minimum of 6 fights a year. Its all in the contract

Yeah that was a pleasant change.. First xmas i've enjoyed for long as i can remember.. Who will win the irish middleweight crown?? Well i hear O'Neill is goin back down to 75kg. If he makes the weight comfortably, then he will be the one to beat IMO

It all depends on how i develop but i am keen to progress. Its up to my management team.

rte showed the finals live on line last year, so us English based paddy's got to see it. Hopefully they will do the same again this year.

This time last year the two of ye were the focus of the Irish boxing public - I thought you handled O'Neill easier than everyone expected.

Nice contract, where ever you fight will be a sell so FM might stick you in a couple more if you keep knocking them out...

Just wonder if they might take a gamble (as they did with Tyson Fury) and book an experienced opponent- Darren would look very impressive stopping a veteran.

Hi Adam, I thought i had posted a reply already but obviously it didnt send..

Yeah i sparred 6 rds with Him back in Dec at the end of a tough wks training. I found him tricky enough in the first few rounds as he was using alot of movement but still was able to get my shots off. I felt i was the stronger and as it went on, started to land the more significant shots. Would be great sparring for me in the future if it can be arranged.

I tried to speak with him afterwards, but his english is not great. But what i made out from our conversation is that he'd had over 300 amateurs and has a lot of experience. I didnt see the article but I think he is a prospect and has talent imo but his progress will depend on what opportunities he gets.

Thank you for having confidence in me. Im training hard and bar somethin out of my control i will have 5 fights between now and dec. And of course i intend to win them all..

Im looking forward to the next fight. Im hoping to get some quality sparring this wk with Dean Francis so will be great experience for me.. Love testin myself

Thanks for the response and the insight Darren. It all seems very positive on the domestic front for the next few years. Hopefully you are as good as Maloney makes out! Good luck for your next fight in Manchester cant wait for the card.
