was wondering if any 1 can clear up the manatory position for kell brook.

last i heard mark thompson was to fight tony docherty in an elimenater and doc pulled out. thompson is now fighting an elimenater for commonwealth!

also young muttly was to fight john odonnell in another elimenater but it was in boxing news today that odonnell is to fight craig watson for the commonwealth


WHATS HAPPENING IS NO ONE WANTING TO FIGHT FOR THE BRITISH TITLE ANY MORE ?

i dont think it matters who he fights cos i dont think any of his potential challengers are on his level, i reckon only young mutley and o donnell are even good enough to consider personally . i reckon kell brook has a big future ahead and will before long aim higher than the british title defences anyway .

However, I know Kel would love to make the Lonsdale his own, so expect a couple of defences.

I imagine Kell will be busy this year.

Hope so. With the amount of available talent below him there's no reason to be entertaining Stuart Elwell for a start.

Kell won the title against Jones and defended against his mandatory.... so therefore, has no worries with regards to making it his own.

What I was meaning Stu, is that there may be pressure for him to vacate and move onwards an upwards.
You know the rules to make the Lonsdale your own.
I hope he's allowed to fulfil that dream. I can't see anyone beating him domestically.

i take it if none of the eliminaters are comming off then the board must nominate a manditory apponent? if the moneys right i am sure most top 10 fighters would be up for the challange!
