I am still searching for any information regarding the November 3, 1995 boxing matches at Harrahs Casino in New Orleans, LA. My dad refereed several fights that night as well as judged and corner inspector.
If anyone has any suggestions of how I can locate the videos of that night, please contact me by my email address which is
[email protected]. My name is Nikki Coscino.
Thanks,
Nikki
I have been trying to find information about the Boxing Matches that were held November 3, 1995, at Harrahs Casino in New Orleans, Louisiana. My dad, Martin Coscino, a very good boxer in his day and also one of the best referree's and judges in New Orleans and Mississippi. My dad had a massive heart attack after referring one of the bouts that night. If anyone knows where I can locate a video from that night or anything from that night, I would greately appreciate some help or suggestions.

I remember the card and I did record it. But unfortunitely I am converting my vhs to dvd and haven't come across that one yet. I believe it was televised by espn or usa network.
Sorry I couldn't be more help!

Sure thing, I am constantly going through tapes, sooner or later I'll find it. I was wondering about you dad, why did he retire?

Hi ghoster,
Well, my dad didn't retire. He had a massive heart attack after referring a fight on November 3, 1995. He was in a coma for a week and he passed away on November 11, 1995. I can't remember how many cards he referred that night but I do know that he also judged and was corner inspector (not sure if that is the correct term). He was acting as corner inspector just seconds before he collasped. There were a couple articles written in a few different newspapers, one was from Bay St. Louis, MS. I have copies if you are interested.
I have been trying to locate any information, videos, etc. on and off for quite some time. I'm not giving up...
Nikki

Sorry to hear about your loss, but I was refering to his boxing career. Is he not the same Martin Coscino that fought out of New Orleans in the fifties and retired with a 16-0 record?
I thought this might be him:

Yep, that's my dad. I'm sorry...I thought you were asking why did he retire as referree. Wasn't thinking to clear on that one...I was just so excited to hear back from someone. He went into the Navy and didn't go any further with his boxing career. I am also going to write a small biography on the site that you sent me. I happen to run across that site just by doing a name search.
Thanks for staying in touch...
