Hi Gary! Welcome to Boxrec. :TU:

I think your last fight caused a bit of a stir. I didn't see it, but some people weren't happy with the way you celebrated. Perhaps you could tell us a bit about the fight and the celebration. Only if you want to though, if you don't I understand.

By the way, Martin Power posts on here as well. Did one of your friends tell you to come on here? He was defending you in another topic.

Back to your career, what's next for you?

A poster on here is friends with Gary, Charlie.

I agree, I'd like to hear Gary's regarding the Power celebrations. I thought some of it wasn't nice.

Welcome to the forum by the way. :TU:

i work 48 hrs a week as well as training for fights, i overheard that martin was tellin ppl that i was a warm up and maybe thats why i reacted the way i did he showed me no respect thats why i reacted the way i did, i went into the changing rooms afterwards to see him and we were ok, i was just so pumped up to be honest.

i was hoping to face jason booth for the commonwealth title, but i believe he is injured so i have been nominated to face jamie mcdonnell for the english bantamweight title on the 17th april, jus waiting on purse bids, my aim is to win either the british or commonwealth title and id be more than happy.

Just to clarify, did you shout "and the new..." to Power after you beat him, or did I mishear?

Welcome to the forum, Mr. Davies. :TU:

I was the poster that started the thread titled: "Does Frank Maloney hate Martin Power?" Which led to much discussion regarding your fight with Martin Power, including your conduct after the fight.

If you want to see it - http://forum.boxrec.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=93952

Thanks for clearing it up, Gary. Hopefully I'll get to see you on TV in the near future. Keep us informed. :TU:

It's getting like the Gary Davies fan club on here... :TU:

It was "and the new" wasn't it......not "how's that, how's that"....

Maybe Gary can let us know...

Gary i never said F.uck all the only thing i said to my trainer is that you were one Ulgy fella,
but you was ment to be a warm up for me to get back into the swing of things, you had a good 5weeks notice the same as me..
i didnt turn up on the night and you were the better man simple as that..

It was'nt a title fight and you did say "And the New", but next time we meet could be for the British title as its such a easy fight to make. Best of luck for the English, if you make the weight well i cant see that being a problem at all. Im on the same Bill so il see you up there...

errr.... "and the new" ...... please enlighten us about that outburst after your last fight, much as it was a decent result against a ring rusty power i was a little surprised by your reaction... :box:

Gary, after the fight against Power I lost a lot of respect for you (I know, it will kill you inside) because of your reaction to Martin after you beat him. Saying that though, how far do you think you can go?

hello all its lee garys brother spoke 2 gary referance everything thats been said and he wants me to say that he has full and nothing but the upmost respect for power and anyother boxer who enters a ring and wants to forget bout all the tit for tat and hear say that has been said and would like to get on with everyone and martin and just hoping to make a impact on the bantamweight scene so hope everybody can move forward and forget bout it.

Fair enough, and I do realise that in the heat of the moment things like that can happen, however much we don't like to see it. If he's apologising to Martin, or if he did that after the fight, then I applaud him and wish him luck in his career.
